Ship Dude Posted January 16, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2009 I was reading a post on the HAL board and it was telling the next passenger in Cabin XXX that they left an unused coffee card in the Bible. Do you know anyone on Princess or have you done this? Sapphire C109 passengers before 2/28, please feel free to leave any unsed coffee cards and/or wine vouchers in Bible. Thanks in advance. Grego Posted January 16, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2009 On Princess cruises coffee isnt free ?? Like on RCCL or Carnival ? The "syrup" coffee they serve in the buffet and dining room and other spots around the ship is free, but not that great. What Princess does have on their ships are locations at the Passiterre (I can't pronounce it either) Bar, in the Buffet area and other places around the ship, a premium coffee area where you can have them make expresso, latte, etc. and also real brewed coffee for a price. If you purchase the coffee card you receive so many cups of whatever special coffee and unlimited brewed coffee. If you like real coffee - it is worth it. Iamcruzin Posted January 16, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 16, 2009 On Princess cruises coffee isnt free ?? Like on RCCL or Carnival ? Designer coffee isn't free. You can get regular coffee anytime for free. I don't mind the taste of the free coffee others find it terrible.

Do they have them on HAL, or is this in the library? Call me curious... Chris
jhannah Posted January 16, 2009 #7 Share Posted January 16, 2009 You should find a Gideon Bible in one of the nightstand drawers. Look inside. You never know what you may find.
cruiserbryce Posted January 16, 2009 #8 Share Posted January 16, 2009 too funny...we typically end up using all of ours but maybe we should do this:)
billet Posted January 16, 2009 #9 Share Posted January 16, 2009 Is this a ploy to get more people reading the Bible? Heck it is already at the top of the best sellers list every year! :)
CruisinChris Posted January 16, 2009 #10 Share Posted January 16, 2009 Never had a Bible - Gideon's or otherwise in 19 Princess Cruises....

Rare chasinraynbowz Posted January 16, 2009 #12 Share Posted January 16, 2009 Was on the Ruby and there weren't bibles in the rooms either.
rcacace Posted January 16, 2009 #13 Share Posted January 16, 2009 Even if there were a Bible in the draw, I seriously doubt if anyone would take the time to open the book on a cruise. If you want to pass anything on to the next passengers, leave it tucked between one of the life jackets. ;)

Ula Posted January 16, 2009 #15 Share Posted January 16, 2009 I do not remember Bible's either but never looked. And what are the vouchers for? Nothing free in the books Princess gives out. I like that, I hate coupon shopping on a ship.
Treven Posted January 16, 2009 #16 Share Posted January 16, 2009 I've been on several different cruislines' ships and I've never seen a bible in one of the desk drawers; but then I wasn't looking for one either.

I have never seen a Bible in a stateroom on Princess or any other cruiseline, for that matter. Hotels usually, and a Book of Mormon in Marriott properties. FredS Posted January 16, 2009 #18 Share Posted January 16, 2009 Last year on our cruise from So. America to Seattle, at a public gathering the Cruise Director mentioned, in response to a question that Gideon Bibles or any other religion books were not allowed to be put in individual rooms on Princess. They just did not do that.
Pia1913 Posted January 17, 2009 #19 Share Posted January 17, 2009 No bibles in any drawer on Princess and believe me I've taken enough cruises to have noticed. OTOH, I'm in a hotel room right now and yes, there is a Gideon bible in the nightstand drawer.
