Leaving unused cards or vouchers in Bible

Even if there were a Bible in the draw, I seriously doubt if anyone would take the time to open the book on a cruise. If you want to pass anything on to the next passengers, leave it tucked between one of the life jackets. ;)

We left a note of bon voyage and a bottle of wine in our cabin for the next couple. We told the steward that we were doing that so he wouldn't throw it away when he cleaned our cabin. I can only hope they enjoyed it!

 

 

I love this idea...I wonder if the cabin stewards honor this...could be a great new tradition? OR, if they do drink it themselves?

 

I suppose you could leave an email address in the note. OR, you could tip the steward an extra $2 to ensure delivery???

 

I still believe in the general goodness of most people...call me a romantic :o

Leaving the wine bottle for the next pax is a fine idea. Please feel free to leave one for me on the Ruby. wine.gif

 

On the several ships I have been on, I have never seen a bible of any description. I do check all the drawers particularly when leaving to make sure I have not left anything behind.

Last year on our cruise from So. America to Seattle, at a public gathering the Cruise Director mentioned, in response to a question that Gideon Bibles or any other religion books were not allowed to be put in individual rooms on Princess. They just did not do that.

 

No, like every other Corporation they are afraid of the "Threats by the ACLU" that they will sue them if they distribute the Gideon Bibles or any other religious books. I think that their current target is hotel/motel rooms. I wonder when people are going to get sick of the commie ACLU and put a stop to this? I do not know about you, but of all of the hotel and motel rooms I have stayed in in my life having a Gideon Bible in the drawer has never hurt me.

For goodness sakes, it may be that not everyone is a Christian! Someone needs to go take a pill, watch Fox News, and relax!

we've left wine and unopened snacks in our cabin. didn't leave a note. We hope someone enjoyed them!

Once I knew a friend would be on the cruise following mine. I found out her cabin number. I left things at the pursor's desk with the cabin number for them. They received it.

 

I imagine something similar can be done with unused coffee card punches. Put it in a sealed envelope with your cabin number and ask them to deliver it to the next occupants.

I honestly don't remember seeing a Bible specifically on a Princess ship, but I remember for sure one was in the small desk drawer in our Carnival Spirit cabin - we were just on that ship over Christmas. The Bible and the hairdryer were in the same drawer!

I was reading a post on the HAL board and it was telling the next passenger in Cabin XXX that they left an unused coffee card in the Bible. Do you know anyone on Princess or have you done this?

 

Sapphire C109 passengers before 2/28, please feel free to leave any unsed coffee cards and/or wine vouchers in Bible.

If this were true it must have been tucked on the page with Genesis 3:5. When they had consumed it, their eyes were opened.

We always leave whatever coupons we don't use behind for others hopefully may be of use for them.

 

I'm also not a poker blackjack player so when I'm in the casino and see people playing, I have fun offering it to them. They look at my rather funny but I tell them it's legite and that I simply don't play. Slots are my entertainment (lately that haven't been to kind to me though).

That's so true. Which version of the Bible can be left in the drawer without someone making a complaint? And what about the Book of Morman, the Koran, other religious tracts? If someone is really gung ho about reading from the Bible, they will probably take theirs along. Or get it from the ship's library.
