Note if connecting. ) – Very Quiet Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Great View, no obstruction Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal Was wind a problem? No If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? No Any specific problems with this cabin? No Any other comments? This cabin is next to the elevators, which we liked. Also we were below the Hair Salon, which was quiet and right upstairs was the Aqua Spa Cafe, which we enjoyed the lunches. We would book this cabin again. Edited July 12, 2010 by kemakash
dawnster1014 Posted July 12, 2010 #903 Share Posted July 12, 2010 Ship -Solstice Deck - 6 Cabin # - 6158 Class – 2C Starboard or Port Side - Starboard Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bath Connecting cabin, no noise from hall, only banging of next door shutting and some conversational noise through the walls, otherwise quiet. Balcony View - Classified partially obstructed, orange life boats at the foot of the balcony floor. No other obstructions to the horizon, but looking down you see the life boats and deck 5. All balconies in this section of the ship look down on the same thing, regardless of the floor number and class. There is no looking at the water. Cabins next to us had big white posts holding the lifeboats, but nothing in front of our balcony.:) Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - angled, but normal size Was wind a problem? No If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A It is located near the front elevators, which was great! Close to pools, theater and casino. Had to walk to the other side of the ship for food. I liked the location!!! Room was kept very neat, huge shower, not bad getting into the closet with the room set up. Overall, a nice room.

CruzinRAC Posted July 13, 2010 #906 Share Posted July 13, 2010 (edited) Deck - 9 Cabin # - 9348 Class – Concierge Starboard or Port Side - Starboard Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Balcony Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Heard the usual bumps and bangs, but nothing out of the ordinary Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – You looked straight down at the lifeboats. If you want a straight view down to the water, book a hump cabin Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal with nice chairs and automans Was wind a problem? The closer you were to the railing, the more the wind, but again, not really an issue If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? Not at all Any specific problems with this cabin? TV remote battery cap was taped on using masking tape....other than that....GREAT! Any other comments? Good cabin.....on cruise we were on, the port side was always facing the docks we visited (GCM/CZM/CMA/ROA), and this cabin is starboard....FYI Edited July 13, 2010 by CruzinRAC forgot to add data at top of form
kelmac Posted July 14, 2010 #907 Share Posted July 14, 2010 Celebrity Solstice Deck - 11 Cabin # - 1556 Class – AQ Starboard or Port Side - Starboard Bed near?(balcony or bath) – balcony Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Quiet Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Some Obstructions; this cabin perhaps gets the brunt of the window washing equipment.(support pole, fold out basket and suspended basket -- see photo) Not really a problem for us, but others might think differently. Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal size Was wind a problem? No problems, if fact this could be the best cabin to avoid wind as the cabins forward jet out and protect this cabin. If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A Any specific problems with this cabin? Any other comments? This area of Aqua Class cabins is under the over-hang and receives no sun; it also is the most protected from the weather. __________________

Note if connecting. ) – Very quiet. Connects to 1126 (set of doors outside the cabin doors to these two rooms created a small "foyer" for the two rooms) Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – View was fine, no view of bow, but starboard and aft (about a 140 degree view). Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Oversized, as this cabin is on the beginning of the extension for the suites. Door on balcony opens to 1126's balcony. Was wind a problem? No. If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A Any specific problems with this cabin? None Any other comments? Very good cabin, especially if adjoining cabins are needed. Not far to mid-elevators. Janet987 Posted July 22, 2010 #911 Share Posted July 22, 2010 CORRECTION..thanks to those who caught my copy and paste error, yes, the bed is near the bath. Deck - 7 Cabin # 7241 Class – 1A Port Side - Bed near bath – Has both trundle bed and pullman Quiet Cabin: Yes. Not connecting to our "pair" and only noise was when they opened/closed their door. Balcony View - Great, no obstructions Balcony Size - Largest of the larger balconies. 100 sq. ft. (14 ft on right side, 11 on left, verandas 8 ft wide). Its "pair" balcony (#7243) is about 78 sq. ft. Was wind a problem? No, aft of hump and protected. Any other comments? We had one teen with and she chose to sleep on pullman. When trundle is out, it is inches away from fridge and drawers (can't open). Can't get to balcony. Top of sofa is very hard, and once you have four in a room, you will have to use it. Pullman and trundle is not an option because no room for ladder. Three is OK, for four would suggest connecting cabins (excellent design) or inside cabin across hall. librarylady19 Posted July 23, 2010 #912 Share Posted July 23, 2010 Hi Janet, Thanks for the correction. The most recent version of the spreadsheet (dated 6-27-10) has the correct bed location for 7241. I should be posting an update next week. (tho I shouldn't promise anything specific as we all know what happened to poor LustforLife when she did that).;)

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – No. Spent a lot of time on balcony--better than lounge chairs in public areas. Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal size. Enough room for table, two chairs and two ottomans. Was wind a problem? No. If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? Not an aft cabin. Any specific problems with this cabin? No. Any other comments? Bathroom has plenty of cabinet space. Toliet paper holder is annoying--paper always falling off. Very little room between the two twin beds that were split to accommodate roommate situation. Comfortable bed and enjoyed cabin.

Normal or oversized for class? - Normal size Was wind a problem? No problems. If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A Any specific problems with this cabin? Not really. Stewards on this cruise always seemed to be hovering or opening door to get into room, even as early as 8.30am, unless do not disturb sign was put up. Any other comments? As said above, not really big enough for four people and our teens complained sofa bed was uncomfortable, which is very unusual for them. Even though this cabin is approx 20sq ft bigger than our Brilliance one last year there just seemed to be less room to manouvre. Wouldn't bother paying for Concierge Class again unless I wanted a specific location, some of the perks just don't exist or you have to ask daily by filling in a form for what you have paid for i.e. Canapes. Smoothies were yuckie.

Also lots of drum beat sounds all afternoon from the bands & DJ's. We could hear the music loudly even with the doors tightly shut. Also a few creaks & rattle noises in the living room ceiling. balcony view - great except where the "X" sticker obscures it. (stupid!) balcony size - huge & wonderful! very comfy padded chaise lounge Wind - nope soot - nope great location to get anywhere on the ship. a beautiful suite, but the music thumping was annoying. Balcony is not covered so even though we were on a Baltic cruise (temps were in the 30 C's) it was very hot on the balcony. So hot you couldn't step on the balcony floor in your bare feet!!! I loved an aft balcony, but I'm not sure I'd choose it for a Caribbean cruise

legaljen1969 Posted August 9, 2010 #925 Share Posted August 9, 2010 Deck - Sunrise Cabin # - 7262 Class – Deluxe OV with Verandah Starboard or Port Side - Starboard Bed near? Balcony Quiet Cabin– This cabin was not loud, in my opinion. It does not connect to another cabin. If you have loud neighbors, I can imagine you might hear some chatter from time to time but nothing too bad. Balcony View - I had heard that this cabin had view obstructions. I did not notice any. The cabins on Deck 6 probably had obstructions as the lifeboats seemed to be right outside their cabins. This balcony seemed to have slightly less space than Cabins 7260 and 7264. Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? I suppose it was probably normal for the class. Was wind a problem? No problem with wind. If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? This is a midship cabin. Any specific problems with this cabin? If you do not like having an entry to the main area of the ship close to your cabin, I might not recommend this one. However, with the soundproofing doors between the corridor and the main Team Earth area, there is not much noise. I didn't even hear the Sail Away party in the main area until I got out into the center of the ship (we had sail away inside on my cruise because it was raining on departure day). Any other comments? The two cabins adjacent to this cabin have the beds closer to bathroom area. Having the bed near the balcony with the seating area closer to the bedroom made the cabin feel much smaller. I would have preferred cabins 7260 or 7264 for layout.
