HubbieO Posted June 13, 2012 #1626 Share Posted June 13, 2012 Deck - 8 Cabin # - 8254 Class – 1A Starboard or Port Side - Starboard Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bath Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Yes Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – On the rear of hump, so view forard slightly limited Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Oversized Was wind a problem? No If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A Any specific problems with this cabin? No Any other comments? Some have commented on the closet doors being an issue with the bed near the bath. On Eclipse, the closets have sliding doors, so this is not an issue. The bathroom sink has a faucet that extends to the middle of the sink. I don't think this is unique to this cabin though. This is pretty annoying when washing your face. Just the two of us Posted June 18, 2012 #1631 Share Posted June 18, 2012 Deck - 10 Cabin # - 1206 Class – C1 Starboard or Port Side - Aft Bed near?(balcony or bath) –Balcony Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Yes Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Wonderful view Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - oversize Was wind a problem? no If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? Big Problem Any specific problems with this cabin? Soot and Vibration Any other comments? We did not enjoy this cabin. The soot was present at all times day and night. The balcony was cleaned in the morning but that was not enough. We did not like to sit on the chairs unless we had towels on them. The vibration was noticable when we were coming into port. We would not recommend this cabin even though it has a larger balcony than most. What is the point in a large balcony if it cannot be used. When sitting on the balcony the soot was falling on usnot enjoyable at all.
Ems2 Posted June 24, 2012 #1632 Share Posted June 24, 2012 Deck - 11 Cabin # - 1610 Class – Aqua Starboard or Port Side - Starbord Bed near? (balcony or bath) – Bath Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems) – I had been worried about this cabin as another review stated there had been a noise problem but we experienced absolutely no disturbing noise at all. Balcony View - Great view Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Oversized, the biggest on the angle facing forward. It was the same width but deeper than normal balconies and not dark or tunnel like as we feared from seeing a picture posted on another thread. Was wind a problem? No Any specific problems with this cabin? We loved it and would definitely book it again.
pequeypuchu Posted June 25, 2012 #1633 Share Posted June 25, 2012 Deck - 11 Cabin # - 1591 Class – Aqua Class Starboard or Port Side - Port Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bath Quiet Cabin – We thought the cabin was very quiet. On the night of a theme pool party we did hear music from deck 12 (but so could everyone else). We think we heard some noise overhead from the Pool Butlers re-arranging deck chairs one afternoon but it was absolutely minimal. No complaints! Balcony View - No direct obstructions; nice views straight out. Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal Was wind a problem? No. If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A Any specific problems with this cabin? None! Any other comments? Location was great - easy access to both elevators and steps away from Deck 12/pool and Deck 14/Oceanview cafe. No upper berths. We were in the Silhouette and the in-room sofa did not include storage cabinet.

Verona Gal Posted June 28, 2012 #1645 Share Posted June 28, 2012 Cabin - 1509 Ship -Silhouette Deck - 11 Class - AQ2 Area - Port Bed near - bath Quiet - Generally very quiet except late at night when there is a disco party in the Sky Lounge. We are generally good sleepers, but one night the music was so loud it kept us awake until 3:00 AM. We called about it twice but Guset Relations took no action. This did not happen every night but it was bad enough that I would avoid cabins in this area in the future. Balcony view - Unobstructed to the side. The bridge is forward of this cabin and down one deck. Not a problem unless you want to take a picture in that direction. Balcony size - normal Wind a problem - no Soot a problem - no Problem/Comments - See above concerning noise.
justcrusn Posted June 30, 2012 #1646 Share Posted June 30, 2012 Deck 11 Cabin # 1504 Aqua class Starboard Bed near bath Quiet cabin? Not completely, there were thuds from somewhere above or nearby during the day,we never found a source. Not a problem at night, didn't really disturb us,but it was there. Balcony view was great, the cabin overlooks the wing and you could sometimes observe the crew working, it was very interesting. No obstructions. Normal size balcony. Location was very nice, adjacent to relaxation room, just down the hall from the "secret staircase" and easy access to Persian gardens, spa center, solarium and aqua spa cafe.
