Best outside place for group at sailaway on Indy?

Our roll call/Meet and Mingle group is planning an informal gathering at sailaway. We would love to have suggestions for a place that is outside, serves drinks nearby, will put up with a group and has a good view!

 

Your thoughts?

 

P.S. If you are sailing on the April 4, 2009 cruise aboard Independence please come to our roll call and jump in!

Any and all bars will "put up" with a group! Our informal M&M met at the poolside bar...one of the cruisers in our group wore a shirt that ALL would recognize, so we all knew where (and whom) to meet.

I've always tried to do an inside bar (like the Schooner Bar) a little bit before sailaway and then migrate up. It seemed easier to find people in a less crowded area since so many people would be on deck.

 

We did do a meetup at the Pool Bar once but a lot of people didn't make it because of the crowd and just general shyness of not being sure the people were part of the M&M group or not. In the schooner Bar, we recruited the bartender to help us round people up since he wasn't super busy.

On a cruise on Indy last week...we met at the Schooner Bar before Muster. We planned on meeting at the Sky Bar but we were unpacking...looked out the balcony door and we were already out of port.

 

The Sky Bar are would be great! :D
