SHIPMEOUT Posted February 7, 2009 #26 Share Posted February 7, 2009 Hey there Rockin Robin, Thanks for the update overnight. Must have been hard to type after the bachelorette party...LOL :p Hope the seas are calming down for you today. Wouldn't want the wedding party to tip over walking down the aisle...:D If you happen to read this before the wedding, Bobbie had mentioned earlier (and it was an excellent reminder) to ask them to turn the webcam on in the wedding chapel. It is only a still picture right now and it is not changing. If they don't do this I don't think we'll see the wedding. :( Good luck and best wishes to all....we're with you!! Bucky3 Posted February 7, 2009 #29 Share Posted February 7, 2009 Well, I had no luck with the wedding cam! Bummer. Was anyone able to get it? Hope all went well. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
Sea Fan Posted February 7, 2009 #30 Share Posted February 7, 2009 Hey Bucky I got a few through kroooz-cams now here's hoping there was just one wedding today. I know I can email them but now I need to figure out how to post them. Dianne
jrobinso Posted February 7, 2009 #31 Share Posted February 7, 2009 Bobbie ( and Robin) I didn't have any luck either. Robin, I'm sure the wedding was great, you'll have to fill us in on how everything went. Did you have a special dinner/reception somewhere after the ceremony? Bucky3 Posted February 8, 2009 #34 Share Posted February 8, 2009 Dianne - Nice of you to do this! I have no idea if that was the right wedding. I thought when looking at the Princess Cam, that it was pretty dark in that room. We'll have to wait for Robin for identification! Congrats for finding a way to do this !! Cruisin' Chick Posted February 8, 2009 #36 Share Posted February 8, 2009 Not surprised you had a rolling start to your cruise. It started raining on Thursday here in LA. Early this morning, around 2am, our area got hit with a major squall. Woke us all up. But we need that water to avoid water rationing. If you go to the Captain's Circle party, could you please ask which ship is doing the Hawaii itinerary in 2010-11? If they will say. Else, I'll be checking the princess.com site every day now until April. Thanks!
SHIPMEOUT Posted February 8, 2009 #37 Share Posted February 8, 2009 Great pictures Dianne. Yes, you definitely have the right wedding! I remember you provided some great pics of our Panama Canal crossing last month. Can you still e-mail them to me? Hi Robin! The wedding was beautiful! Clarence was very handsome and Terry was a gorgeous bride! And you and Karen were beautiful! Even saw Karen shedding a tear or two... It went by so quickly...we kept refreshing our screens every 30 seconds or so and took as many pictures as we could and saved some directly from the screen. Most of my pics have already been kindly posted by Dianne. My monitor is on it's last legs so I can't see all the posted pictures clearly. I'll try to add a few more, sorry if the first two are duplicates. Enjoy the celebration! Al & I send our love and congratulations! Sea Fan Posted February 8, 2009 #39 Share Posted February 8, 2009 Oh Cindy that's a great picture! I didn't catch the first part of the Wedding I was on my lap top in another room and it seemed frozen on a picture before the wedding. Did you go to kroooz-cams? SHIPMEOUT Posted February 8, 2009 #40 Share Posted February 8, 2009 Oh Cindy that's a great picture! I didn't catch the first part of the Wedding I was on my lap top in another room and it seemed frozen on a picture before the wedding. Did you go to kroooz-cams? Dianne Actually I took a picture with my camera right off the screen on this one! LOL! Turned out not bad but the picture quality isn't as good as the directly saved ones.. Before the wedding started, the wedding cam was frozen on a picture that looked like some guy was giving a presentation...I could see a slide projector, and only about 3 people in the audience. I wondered what the heck is going on because it was almost time for the wedding. Then suddenly the camera changed to the wedding with a room full of people just minutes before it started. Almost caught us by surprise! Would you mind e-mailing the Panama pics to cgarlinski @ shaw.ca? Thanks so much Dianne. Cindy

Sea Fan Posted February 8, 2009 #42 Share Posted February 8, 2009 Cindy that's so funny that's exactly what I did to the picture of you on your cruise!! I took it right off the internet!! jerseyk Posted February 8, 2009 #43 Share Posted February 8, 2009 Hey Robin, I watched for 1/2 an hour but nothing was happening. Perhaps the wedding took place later, or I messed up the times:o. Hope that the seas have calmed down a bit. Walter
Bucky3 Posted February 8, 2009 #44 Share Posted February 8, 2009 Same here, Walter. Was watching from 12:45 to 1:30 California time! Ceremony was supposed to be at 1PM. Oh, well, I'm sure we'll hear all about it from Robin once she has recovered from celebrating!
SHIPMEOUT Posted February 8, 2009 #45 Share Posted February 8, 2009 Originally the wedding was supposed to be 2pm Hawaii time, and 4pm California 6pm Central 7pm Eastern I think the misunderstanding on the revised time was due to the 1 hour delay that Robin mentioned due to the storm. It prevented them from entering the Hawaii time zone which made everything one hour earlier than originally stated. This changed the actual wedding time to 3pm in California 5pm our time (Central) 6pm Eastern I guess Robin and group are still recovering from yesterday...or maybe the weather has improved a lot and they are finally able to enjoy the sunshine by the pool! Let's hope so! :D Cindy
KQuilt Posted February 8, 2009 #46 Share Posted February 8, 2009 Hey Dianne, You did get some really good shots of the wedding. I waited for sometime then went away for a while and when I came back the wedding was over. I was really upset that I missed the whole thing. :) Walter, Are you thinking about food. Those poor people getting seasick and having a rocking time and you were thinking about short lines. I'm sure some where smart enough to to take the Bonine before they left. You have a sick mind you bad boy. HEHEHE:D Robin, If you have any pics could you post them. I was trying to see yours and Karen's dresses. Did you make them or buy them. Were they alike. I see by the web cam the the seas have calmed down now so have some smooth sailing the rest of the way. The rain has stopped here for now but another storm is coming through today. Right now the sun is out. There have been mud slides but not in Yorba Linda as of yet. I hope it doesn't.

I think when Robin said 1pm maybe she meant 1pm their time. Cindy

Karen, we hit a big storm once on the grand buffet night and only about 20 of us showed up. We felt sorry for everyone. The crew did so much work for nothing, but the 20 of us ate anyway:p Walter
chamima Posted February 8, 2009 #49 Share Posted February 8, 2009 I have a question for anyone on this cruise. If you had it to do over, when would you have had the Meet and Greet? We are on the cruise after you and we also scheduled it for 10 am first sea day but someone on your thread said there was too much to do and no one came. Is that accurate? Tallcruiser Posted February 9, 2009 Author #50 Share Posted February 9, 2009 Hi Everyone!!! Thank you to everyone watching yesterday and real big thank you to Dianne for posting the pictures. Sorry about the confusion on times:p It was a most beautiful ceremony performed by our Captain Nick Nash. It was a traditional British ceremony. Really lovley. It was all handled so well. Terry stayed in our cabin the night before. She had all her hair and makeup done in the ships Spa. She was a beautiful Princess from the fairy tales. Terry, Karen and myself were picked up and escorted to the Chapel by the ships staff. All the flowers were delivered to our cabin a half hour before we went to the chapel. For any future brides to be ... I highly recommend the ships package and services. It was a picture perfect experience. It was all about Terry. They really took good care of her. The cake provided was a most delicious cake that Terry picked out. Her flowers were out of this world. The chapel was decorated with flowers and real candles. It was really charming. Terry and Clarence had in attendence their Aunt and Uncle as well as two couples that are close friends that traveled from Rochester to join this wedding. Also in attendence were many of our new Cruise critic friends. The imediate family and friends were treated to an excellent dinner at the Desert Rose Stake House. The steaks were perfection as was our service. Everyone should dine there at least once if not more on their cruise. It is a lovley place and very reasonable. I will try to answer some questions.............. I was asked about the location of C 509 and C 537 I believe. Both are very close to my cabin. Although I have not had an oppertunity to peek inside.... the locations are excellent. Nearly center of the ship. No noise. Very comfortable. c 509 is an inside cabin that has little next to it except a linen closet and other cabins. It looks like a great choice. as is c 537. We have the larger extended balconys. speaking of balconys......... yesterday was the first day we started enjoying the warmer temps. our skys are still over cast with intermitent sun and rain. But the air is warm and beautiful. There are the die hards that are out on the decks trying to soak a tiny bit up but it is still pretty windy. Seas are not to bad. Moderate. Tomorrow we reach Hilo!!! Getting excited!! I chose a ship excursion Explore The Land Of Fire. Really looking forward to it. If the skys are still cloudy... oh well ..... it is nice and warm and little rain never hurt anyone. On the 4th day at sea there was a Bag of laundry deal offered. The bags are already hanging in your closests. Fill them to capasity and have it cleaned for $20.00. A little early in the cruise I think. I don't know if it will be offered again or not. There are many activites offered on board and many special interest group meeting. Too many to list. Our CC roll call have gotten together twice on our own and they listed a third in the Patter yesterday but it was offered the same time as the wedding and some other activities. I heard as usuall that some folks came thinking it was a Complaint meeting:rolleyes::p WRONG! Anyway we do have a really nice group of CCers. We are all meeting for our own CC Wine Tasting on Sunday the 15th at 4 in Terry and Clarences Cabin!!! We are all bringing a bottle of wine from where we live and sharing them!!! There are formal nights on this cruise the 6th, 13th, and 16th.... so that would be the 3rd night out, 9th night and the 12th nights of the cruise. There was a Red Hat meeting that one of the CDs staff attended. Very nice. Ladies from all over!! We will be getting together often for Tea. So all of you Red Hat Society ladies pack your purple shirts and a Red Hat!!! I have already enjoyed the company of 2 differant ladies I have had the pleasure of cruising with on other cruises. There is a Chefs table offered on this Ship. It is $75.00 p/p and everyne raves about it. I personally have not had take advantage of signing up. I have to tell you again how much we are enjoying the service and the crew on board. They are Fantastic. Our room steward Lanfa Moenphao is wonderful. This poor guy has put up extra beds.... cleaned up after bachelorette parting and the whirlwind mess 3 women made getting dressed for a wedding!!!! Cudo to him!!! Our service in the dinning room has been excellent! Ronald is our waiter and Allen his asst. these guys are great. I usually dont have alot to say about the Maitre d' in the dinning rooms.... But I have to give great thanks and comend our Maitre d Angelo Balbiani (I hope I got that correct) He is charming and has seen to our every need. He also made a special trip over last night to the Steak house to personaly wish Terry and Clarence his best wishes. I know I appreciated that and it did make an impression on everyone. The food is really good. The chef is wonderful. The menus have changed and are tasty and well presented. Yes we have been out and enjoyed several of all the clubs and music. Something for everyone. I hope I was able to answer some of your questions......... if you have more let me know!! I love reading your posts. Thanks for following along. I have to say no one should scared away by the reports of rocking waves.... they werent that awful... yes it is cloudy and overcast still but it is NOT ruining anyones cruise. There is so much to do. They have increased the Hawaiian themed activities and lectures. Sure we would all like to be out sizzling in the tropical sun..... but that is all up to Mother Nature not the Ships control. And really not that much to do with the time of year. Yes, I have run into a few that would grumble if I stood still long enough to listen ...but I have better things to do and I am enjoying myself!!! Oh yes,,,,, it is very sssssssllllloooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww getting on to the internet. I will hang in an post again tomorrow night about our day in Hilo if I can!!!!
