Southampton to Atlanta: best budget fare?

Anyone heard of Flybe Air? If so, what is your opinion? I am trying to book air from Southampton to Atlanta, but it seems that I have to fly to Dublin first. Any advice would be helpful.

I am sure Flybe is fine. I haven't used it but did do Ryan Air from Salzburg to London and that was fine.

 

I take you are doing a one way and are using AerLingus home? Is this correct?

 

Otherwise you can do US Airways- I've had good luck with them.

I was thinking of taking Flybe to Dublin, Ireland. Then Continental the next two cities. This is new to me, so I'm very apprehensive about booking with an airline that I'm not at all familiar with. AerLingus is one of the choices, but I'm not familiar with that airline either. Thanks for your reply.:)

My wife and I have flown with Flybe within the UK and they are absolutely fine. Aer Lingus are also good, it would just depend how they compare on price.

Must you fly from Southampton? If you're going to Atlanta, you'll be much better off taking the conventional route: transfer to Heathrow, then fly non-stop from there to Atlanta.
