You didn't have to fax ANYTHING besides the NCL form????? Not your DD 214 or some sort of proof?

Nothing--just like the form saids.

it over and done with when a DD-214 is sent in during booking and

DD-214 is only issued when ya get the heck out.:D

The form doesn't actually say that the form itself is the only thing you need. It actually doesn't specify one way or the other.

Did this last week. DH filled downloaded and filled out the form online, checking the box for "blue" card. I scanned it in and emailed it to the address on the form the following morning. Later that afternoon I received a new invoice with the discount applied. Nothing else was asked for. We will take the original form and always have our ID cards with us.

We are thinking about booking a cabin for our kids on our upcoming May 2010 cruise. Does anyone know if the Military discount will be credited for both rooms or does the military member have to be in the room that they book to get the discount? Thanks.

I saw that your question had not been answered.

The instructions say "one cabin only" so that sounds as if the discount is for the one military person's cabin only.

But I'd be interested to know if anyone has ever gotten the discount for a 2nd cabin whose reservation was linked to yours. Anyone?

We used my Husband's military discount rate on our upcoming 2 sailings. We were told to bring the DD214 to the Ports as proof and that was it. I'm not sure If I qualified as his spouse or it was just his discount..hope this helps.
