CSIMelissa Posted March 7, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2009 Has anyone ever stayed in an AZ "obstructed view" stateroom on deck 6? Wondering how obstructed is obstructed. Looks like there is a deck in front of our windos but it would be easy to get out onto that deck to take pictures. Anyone have pictures? I just booked 6032 at an amazing rate for the Best of Italy next year.

CSIMelissa Posted March 7, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted March 7, 2009 Thanks; they are much more obstructed than I thought and there's no deck in front of them SO I've changed my room to another ocean view, #7000.
Susan-M Posted March 8, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 8, 2009 Thanks; they are much more obstructed than I thought and there's no deck in front of them SO I've changed my room to another ocean view, #7000. 7000 is a Sunset Verandah cabin at the bow of the ship. You'll have a great view!:) One other thing to be aware of category 7, obstructed ocean view cabins, is the smaller size... 143 sq. ft. vs. 172 for other OV cabins. From Azamara's website: "All category 07 staterooms have a panorama window with an obstructed view and are 143 sq. ft."
CSIMelissa Posted March 8, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted March 8, 2009 I said the wrong room number. I meant 7006! Their balconies are way out of my price range LOL.
beckaboo Posted March 10, 2009 #7 Share Posted March 10, 2009 We were in 6042 on the 2/24 sailing... it was not obstructed in St Johns, Virgin Gorda, or St Barts when the tender was in use :) But otherwise, it's like having an inside cabin (and choosing between the obstructed outside or larger inside, i know what I'll do next time, haha!
