Tulsa Cats Posted April 15, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2009 We will be leaving the Hyde Park area to catch the Norwegian Jewel in Dover, then off the ship in Dover to Heathrow. What is the best way to get there from there ? Ship transfers tend to be cattle calls and our last was a bad experience. We'd rather strike out on our own.... Help please:D

Help please:D You can take the train but sitting and watching the luggage can be a pain. We will be leaving from Mayfair and are taking a car from British airport cars. Reasonable. Plus, it takes you right up to the porter for the ship. You can google many car services from London. Ours is a http://www.britishairportcars.co.uk/ Best of luck. Globaliser Posted April 16, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 16, 2009 What is the best way to get there from there?First question: What do you mean by "best"? Least hassle? Least cost? Least time? How important is each of those factors? There is no single "best" solution for everyone.
Tulsa Cats Posted April 16, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted April 16, 2009 Less hassle....... a bit more money. We're getting too "mature" to have too much hassle....

dinoman Posted April 17, 2009 #6 Share Posted April 17, 2009 I think the bus option is the best so far and we are taking it to go from London to Dover for our cruise. The merit of bus travel is that you move along on the ground service and do not have to bring your luggage up and down the steep and narrow steps in the tube stations as elevators and lifts are not always available. surroundedbyboys Posted April 17, 2009 #8 Share Posted April 17, 2009 www.limo.co.uk We have arranged transport with this service. They are very prompt in response and have gotten good reviews. They're picking us up from Heathrow, dropping us off at our hotel in Dover; then picking us up from the ship and taking us to our hotel in London.
