Ice for rooms

I am a new cruiser and wondering if stewards provide ice daily for rooms or are there ice machines to obtain ice for rooms?

No ice machines; your steward will fill the ice bucket every day and if it's kept in the mini-frig, the ice will last a couple of days. If you need more ice, just call Room Service and they will send some up.

The room attendant will fill your ice bucket twice a day - once when they make up the room and later when they turn down your covers for night. If you need more ice, call them and they will bring it. I use a lot of ice (common southwest USA habit) and have them put two ice buckets in my room. Don't be afraid to ask for more.

The steward will supply ice when the room is cleaned each morning and while you are at dinner each evening. Ice is also available at the buffet.

Hi,

First day of my last cruise (AK) , I ordered ice from room service. Its a much larger ice bucket than the one in your room (I'm a non-suite budget kind of gal, just in-case those ice buckets in suites are larger.). Under my ice bucket I left my room steward a couple of $1 bills. Wow, talk about having a continual refill of ice each day in that larger bucket, it was marvelous, and each day my room steward received extra $$'s..
