changing cabin room mates

I was sure I read the answer awhile back but just to be sure. When we booked my son was scheduled to share a room with my grandson, now his girlfriend is going and we need to switch her with him. Can this be done without cancelling and starting over? Which is out of the question cruise is in 13 days. Mostly I am just worried about their sail pass charges. Help please.

It should be no problem. Since you are under 2 weeks, they *may* charge a small fee, or they may not.

Call now. (If you are using a TA, s/he must make the call)

By the way, I am not sure what you mean by "I am just worried about their sail pass charges". You MUST change the names if the passengers change. You can't just casually show up with a different person.

I don't think you'll have a problem as long as the name the cabin is booked under stays the same. I am assuming it is booked under your son's name.

Have a great trip.

We do this all the time. I book my husband witn with my son and my daughter with me and then when we get on board we get room keys and my son and daughter stay in the cabin next to us. It is not a big deal. RCCL might charge you now to actually change the room assignments, but they will not charge you to change the room keys once on-board. Your sign and sail card stays the same regardless of which room you stay in and they are hooked up to your personal credit card or cash account, so you should have no problems there. We do it almost every sailing. It isn't a big deal.

You can just switch who sleeps where when you check in, as long as all of the passengers are the same. Folks do that all the time.

Can you tell them this at check in without charge?

I have booked for 23 of us to sail and because some were C & A members with money off vouchers we had to book people in rooms with persons who they are not booked with in a view to just sleeping where we want when we board in order to use the vouchers...

However I had not though about room keys opening correct doors and credit cards matched to room cards.. they want 35 pounds to name change so if we can do this for free on check in it would be great.
