Anyone have experience or photos staying in these E or FF categories on the Golden? E 607,E 416,E 417,E 418,E 419.

I have never booked an obstructed view cabin and would like to know if these rooms let in light, etc. I know CCers will come through with an answer. Thanks in advance.:)

Also, check out the deck plans for those staterooms on the ship layout. They are quite accurate and you can tell by looking if there is a partial lifeboat or a full lifeboat in front of the window.

Thanks, I have done that, I am looking for actual photos or experience at this point.

I was on the Golden last year in the GG cat room E702 which was an obstructed view room. The top of the lifeboat obstructed looking down but there was quite a bit of view to the horizon over the lifeboat. It wasn't that bad and was quite a bargain.

Be aware that there are two sizes of lifeboats. Some of the rooms have the giant size lifeboats in front. Those rooms can have a nearly total block of the window.

Here are photos I borrowed from other posts. Our room was pretty much like the first photo. The second photo is as bad as it can get. Think of the worst case as an inside room with hints of what's outside.

There is a thread somewhere about Princess obs view cabins and there are quite a lot of pictures, You could do a search for your room #'s. Any pics of the Star and Grand will be the same as the Golden as they are sister ships.
