Watch the ships come in Fort Lauderdale

Would like to stay at a hotel that we can watch our ship come in. Any suggestions?

One of the hotels that we enjoy is Lago Mar. When sitting on the beach we can see the various cruise ships in the ocean as they have just either left the port or are getting ready to arrive to the port. You do not see the port itself but you see the cruise ships. They have a wonderful beach and we just highly recommend that hotel.

The ships usually come in the middle of the night. Much easier to see them go out.

Embassy Suites or Hyatt Pier 66 are good choices & are on 17th street where there are shops to pick up last minute things.

Are there any outside restaurants where we could watch Oasis of the Seas sail out to sea? We will be staying in Hollywood, Florida in Januaury 2010 and would like to see the ship we will be going on in September 2010 a head of time.

 

 

What is at the north end of North Ocean Drive if we are coming from the Hollywood Beach Area. Are there any Restaurants there?

 

Anything nice?
