Look2Sea Posted June 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2009 When do you usually do your online check in? I know that you can do it up till 3 days prior to sailing. But wondering when most people tend to do it. I also understand that if you don't check in online that you can check in at the port.
scoruntt Posted June 9, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 9, 2009 The day I get home from my cruise. Because I always book on the ship. And the on line check in just adds to the excitement of the next cruise. Scoruntt

aloha of the seas Posted June 9, 2009 #5 Share Posted June 9, 2009 It varies, but usually several months before the cruise. I just finished the first half of my B2B for October. Last cruise I did it a month before sailing. You can't print it out when you do it early, but at least it is done. Good Sailing, Murf

amybeth4 Posted June 9, 2009 #7 Share Posted June 9, 2009 I booked and paid in full two months prior. I probably filled everything out a month prior. I printed it out the week I left and tossed it into my suitcase with my passport.
Clarea Posted June 9, 2009 #8 Share Posted June 9, 2009 You can complete the check in whenever you like, but I suggest you double check it about a week before you cruise. The last two cruises I've completed check in right after final payment. I've double checked about a week before my cruise and found that my SetSail is no longer valid because they no longer have my birth date. I've had to re-enter that info and reprint the SetSail pass. derrick22 Posted June 9, 2009 #9 Share Posted June 9, 2009 Usually do mine right after I make final payment. I didn't realize that I could do it any earlier. Mine is ready to go. Now if my edocs would just come. Denise
granddutchess Posted June 9, 2009 #10 Share Posted June 9, 2009 Interesting information. Just received our luggage tags today for our 6/28/09 AOS sailing. Letter from TA noted you can print Set Sail passes 14 days before date of cruise. I did not know you could do it so far ahead.
lovemylab Posted June 10, 2009 #11 Share Posted June 10, 2009 I usually do it 1-2 weeks prior to sailing.
TBSCruiser Posted June 10, 2009 #12 Share Posted June 10, 2009 Interesting information. Just received our luggage tags today for our 6/28/09 AOS sailing. Letter from TA noted you can print Set Sail passes 14 days before date of cruise. I did not know you could do it so far ahead. sorry but your TA is wrong...you can print your setsail pass as soon as you paid your final payment 69 days ahead. The system will shut down within the 24 hour mark of sailing so make sure you do it before then.
BabyDntGotBack Posted June 10, 2009 #13 Share Posted June 10, 2009 I do it a week before because I know if I do it any earlier I would loose the paperwork

Look2Sea Posted June 10, 2009 Author #17 Share Posted June 10, 2009 Once you print your set sail pass, can you re-print it later? Can someone else, who has access to your reservation, also print copy of your set sail pass? I think I have asked this before, and the answer to both is yes. Is that correct? aquatot11 Posted June 10, 2009 #19 Share Posted June 10, 2009 I do our on-line check-in about a week before final payment. That way the cruise line has all the info for the docs. I print the Set Sail pass after I make final payment. Charlie
Rare Teeara Posted June 10, 2009 #20 Share Posted June 10, 2009 I do mine months before the cruise, but print it out a week before the cruise as I'm starting to compile all the necessary papers for packing in my carryon.

cruisegal96 Posted June 10, 2009 #23 Share Posted June 10, 2009 On our last cruise a month ago, I believe we did the online check in about 2 weeks prior to sail. Be sure you have all your airline info handy if you are flying because they want flight info.

Yes, you can reprint, I did for mine back in February, as I put them in such a safe place I could not find them again. If someone has access to your reservation, I am pretty sure they could print them
*jess* Posted June 10, 2009 #25 Share Posted June 10, 2009 My cruise is in August and I did the online stuff a few weeks ago. All I have left to do is put in my passport info when it comes in the mail!
