allen.crawford Posted December 21, 2004 #26 Share Posted December 21, 2004 Well it looks like I am just going to HAVE to make it :) Will let everyone know just how many servings it makes. I haven't tasted it yet, but Margarita (my wife), refused to order it on our second time to the Pinnacle because (in her words) "I would end up eating the whole thing and that is just too much for me!" So, I guess the recipe should be good for exactly 2 servings for our household!!

allen.crawford Posted December 21, 2004 #31 Share Posted December 21, 2004 Hmm, guess this means I will have to make 2 batches and let everyone know which one is the better of the two! Of course, we would graciously accept ANY invitation to sample the cake at someone else's home. For the adventurous, if you come to Ottawa, we will gladly share! Sage Posted December 21, 2004 #32 Share Posted December 21, 2004 Sail, Yes, they do appear to be different. Mine was given to me by the Pinnacle Grill Chef on the Volendam on the December 6th sailing. Let the great volcano cake testing begin. :D Allen, We are looking at the cruise you are taking in November, and we will let you know if we decide to change. My best to Margaratia. HeatherInFlorida Posted December 21, 2004 Author #34 Share Posted December 21, 2004 Sage....That is a VERY different recipe. Mine was given to me by the Executive Chef of the ship....almost two years ago. Sail, I'm LOL!!! Not only is it a bit different, but yours must serve at least 20 people!!! I'll have to blend the recipes. But I don't think I'm going to give it a shot for a party. Best I scale it down and try only a small portion:D
Vicar Posted December 22, 2004 #35 Share Posted December 22, 2004 I think i will try both too. But in asmall batch just for the two of us, I hate to try a new recipe out the first time when you have company, this way if you scerw up the first batch, no one knos about it. *LOL* But they both do sound good
