Formal Night?

Hi, I'm relatively new to cruising. I will be on the Jewel in Oct for the 5 night New England cruise. Which night would formal night be held?

Usually, not the first or last night. Do you have a sea day on day 2, 3 or 4? If so, it will probably be one of those days. It is at the discretion of the ship.

I have yet to find an RCI ship that didn't have formal nights (during a 7-nighter) on nights 2 and 5, regardless of if you're at sea or not. (I say that part because the Majesty has no days at sea and still has formal night on night 2.)

The 1st formal night is ALWAYS night 2. If you have another (on longer cruises) it is usually the next to last evening. It's not always a sea day.

We do have one sea day, but it is the last day. So, it's safe to assume that night two will be the formal dinner?

ALWAYS? That may be true for the Caribbean and 7 day cruises, but we have been on several cruises where IT WASN'T night 2. It was the first sea day and that happened to be night 4.
