Question About Dinner On First Night

We have only ever sailed on Carnival (and once on the QEII), but are planning a cruise on RCI next March. Our ship would sail at 8:30 pm. Could a more experienced RCI cruiser let me know how they handle dinner the first night? Is there a regular dinner seating like we would have on the other nights?

Thanks in advance

Yes, should be. Often the put an extra 30 minutes between main and second on the first night, but the fact that you leave port at 8:30 PM doesn't affect the dinner schedule.

If you don't want to miss the sailaway, you could do My Time Dining, but that is for the whole cruise (with pre-paid gratuitues required).

Or you could just skip first night in the MDR and eat at the Windjammer in case you don´t want to be stuck with MTD just for not missing sailaway first night.
