StanandJim Posted August 27, 2009 #26 Share Posted August 27, 2009 Sorry to spoil your dreams of "free" things on cruise. Some items are "included" in your cruise fare, other items that you have to sign for are extra charges. If you want everything for "free" you have to travel on a few of the costlier luxury lines where everything is "included" in the tariff Don't know where you're going with this DWelsh, the question was about cappuccino, and that is precisely as "free" on O as it is on Silversea or Seabourn. By the way, those higher end lines deliberately aim their prices astronomically higher than the true value of those "inclusive" amenities. It is the ambience that they are aiming for. Value for money is not even part of their equation. You certainly could not, for example, consume a sufficient quantity of the "free stuff", so that the difference in fares could be justified. It is possible, however, to be at sea continuously with acres of free food and drink: You'll hate the dress code, though......

Timtammi Posted August 27, 2009 #28 Share Posted August 27, 2009 Ok Ok not "FREE" as I know I've paid for it of course, I should have said "included". :)

wripro Posted August 27, 2009 #31 Share Posted August 27, 2009 To be fair, if you book a PH on Oceania which is comparable in sq. footage (or perhaps even a bit smaller) to the all inclusive lines you will be paying close to the same per diem rate. It is only in the smaller cabins where the price difference really comes into play. What is wonderful about Oceania is that you can travel in a smaller cabin and have the same experience at a much lower rate, something you cannot do on the all inclusive lines.
