OMG!! Carnivale was the first cruise ship I sailed on. 1984. I remember that fantail. Drank beer with crew at 1 AM while docked in Nassau.

LOL!  Good to see an image of the Mardi Gras.  My first cruise, WAY WAY back in 1976 with my folks.  What memories!

I don't think I'd have ever seen your posting under the "old" Cruise Critic format.  Was a nice surprise to see it on my picture feed when I was on the way to another forum.

Spent our honeymoon on the Mardi Gras in 1976.

Carnivale was also my first ship in 1981!  How small compared to everything out there today!

Wow Mardi Gras was my first cruise too. Summer 1975
