  1. Good morning. It’s the last day of Summer in Australia. Going out with a hot one in Sydney, expecting 35C/95f with a storm moving through in the the evening to cool things down.
  2. I don’t know if you are on fb but community pages always have posts about packing boxes. People who have just moved in and want to give theirs away free…. Same with your comics. Might be a group online that can recommend you someone reputable and how much you should expect
  3. @ringers0815 thank you for posting your beautiful photos in this thread. @CSHS1979 thanks also for posting all your and J’s beautiful photos.from your tour.
  4. @1Rosco1 sorry to read that you got cancelled threes times especially your upcoming trip via Singapore.
  5. Dad has been very slow to embrace mobility aids etc. I bought him a proper shower seat recently after he asked me for a plastic stool for the bathroom and he admitted that it is the best thing for stability in the shower. Had dinner with a group of 4 girlfriends on Friday night that I have been dining with regularly for over 15 years. We couldn’t get a table in the usual big dining area downstairs so for the first time ever we headed upstairs to the trendy bar area where they have low tables and low lounge chairs, share plates and cocktails. We had a lovely evening but when it was time to leave, we all got up from those low loungers and all four of us groaned in unison 😂 age has caught up with us.
  6. The last time I fainted was many years ago. I had a very heavy cold (this was a very long time before the pandemic btw) and I took my DD to the specialist at the hospital to have her cast removed. A combo of not feeling 💯, seeing the scisssors and the smell. I fainted. Oops. We had to get a taxi home.
  7. I use my 28 degrees credit card when I book cruises like Royal that have onboard charges in USD or for cruises overseas where excursions are in foreign currency.
  8. Sorry for everyone dealing with dizzy spells. Dad experienced this recently for the very first time and it really worried him. He was also advised (by his GP)that the dizzy spells were caused by dehydration and to increase his fluids. He hasn’t had any issues since following through with that advice.
  9. Lovely photos Sue @sgmn. Sorry to read of you fainting on the plane. Glad you and Gary enjoyed your time in Singapore. Bon Voyage for your cruise.
  10. 👏 I might have listened to those first two on repeat more, than a few times, back in the day
  11. Same on Resilient Lady - video then very quick check in at muster station. No lifejacket demo.
  12. So, that’s what French toasts looks like on board. I ordered French Toast and got two plain slices of white bread and two small cups - one with blueberries and one with strawberries. Nothing else…clearly a communication fail with the waitress who took my order.
  13. + 2 @DaniDanielle, @h20skibum I was also wondering about @Ozark_Kid. I did a search for your most recent post. cc brought up the great review you did on the Allure with @brillohead. So at midnight (I had just come home from dinner with girlfriends) I started reading your combined review from last year. Miss your gorgeous grandkids & dad jokes but maybe you are just spending more time with your beautiful family and making precious memories ❤️
  14. Glad your pilot was able to get the flight out of Heathrow. Congratulations on the upgrade. Fabulous view of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel.
  15. My thoughts exactly! Heard very good things about brunch at The Wake. Missed out on bookings and didn’t try to walk up. Look forward to your thoughts.
  16. Those red “booths” don’t look comfortable but they really were. Always popular too.
  17. Personally, I’ve loved rum & raisin flavour since I was a kid - especially in ice-cream The “rum” always felt grown up..,
  18. We had a nasty storm come through on Monday. Four people were sheltering under a tree in the Botanical Gardens next to the Sydney Opera House and were taken to hospital after a lightning bolt hit the tree. Paramedic said they were lucky to survive. Same day, my brother & his wife were on a bushwalk and a long way from their car when the storm came through. The experience really shook them up All they could only think about was their son (an only child) would be left an orphan if they got hit by lightning. Thankfully they eventually made it to their car safely. Yep, TS & KC visited Sydney Zoo. Newest addition to the zoos in Sydney located in the Western Suburbs. A zoo that I’ve never visited and unlikely to but I suspect a good choice as much quieter than the well known zoos here.
  19. Putting together my gifts from my Tassie trip to take over to dad tomorrow and as I was putting this in the gift bag, thought of @Ocean Boy
  20. @Sea Dog Greg, I was thinking the same. Its looking good Charlie & Lizzie must give you hours of entertainment with their tussling and other shenanigans. Your cruise is tempting. That date works for me and I’ve always wanted to cruise on an Oasis ship as they don’t cruise down here and it would lovely to finally meet you. Just depends on DDs availability.
