  1. John’s GBR photos are from Reef Magic out of Cairns. A similar ship excursion is available out of Port Douglas. Like John, we were blessed with very calm seas and snorkeling was also done off a large floating platform. (This excursion was in December) They also have the submarine available for non-swimmers.
  2. We had dinner & drinks at Kirribilli last night. Walking down to the theatre View from the platform at Kirribilli train station after. Must have been a colour run on, people arriving at the platform covered in coloured powder.
  3. When surgeon confirmed she couldn’t fly home immediately, she decided to stay. Still struggling with using crutches in the snowy conditions. Looking forward to when she can start physio. Thanks for asking.
  4. @jmh2006 thank you for the canal photos. Would love to do this one day… @firefly333 all the best for your op. @ReneeFLL have you posted anywhere your thoughts on VV?
  5. LOVE THIS! & love that Daryl is appropriately dressed for formal night. Might steal your idea for our Canada trip. Present the kiddos with hoodies with Moose featured. He travels everywhere with me since my son posted him to me when he first arrived there
  6. I love Eden. Been twice on the short cruises from Sydney. Nice to explore on foot - down to the beach and the lookouts and up to the lookouts closest to the ship. Also the whale watching cruise in season and the guided walk into the National Park (ship excursion). Like you. would love to return for a road trip to the area. Sorry you missed out on Port Arthur. Our cruise had most beautiful weather day. The water was sparkling. Such an interesting and sad place to visit. Been wanting to your cruise for a while for the scenic cruising portion.
  7. Daughter had an unplanned smash cake for her 3rd birthday. We had a large group of kids celebrating in a park in Adelaide and another child managed to lean on and squash the Dorothy the Dinosaur cake just before I served it. Not good for photos but still tasted delicious…
  8. I like your view. Enjoy your cruise. I know you will because you’ve said how much you enjoy them 🎸🎤🎶
  9. Glad you had a successful visit to Hobart despite the cruise crowds & weather. Haven’t been to MONA yet but it’s on my list.
  10. Thank you for your report. What did you do in Tassie that you enjoyed? Photo glimpse of your ship taken by family member who was having drinks at the Opera Bar yesterday afternoon.
  11. Sounds like you had a lovely day and yes, the Harbour Pylon is a good alternative for those who don’t want to do the climb plus it’s a much cheaper option too,
  12. That’s a big effort organising a group of 35 and keeping everyone happy. Well done. I love the night-time photos that Laura posted of J’s group on the Bridgeclimb. Did you do the Bridgeclimb when you were in Sydney?
  13. I deleted the new app yesterday and re-installed it this morning. Correct loyalty level and past cruises now showing. Dinner reservations all there. All good 👍
  14. So much for my pre-holiday diet…DH wanted to try both the Crème Brûlée and the sticky date pudding so I was “forced” to share 🤣
  15. Happy Anniversary! Shame the weather on Hobart wasn’t kind to you. Haven’t been to MONA yet so will note that need App when we visit.
  16. Told DS that he will be getting belated Easter goodies this year. Instead of Easter goodies, he has asked me to bring over some Aussie snacks that he is missing. His list: I will be bringing over 3 of the above plus a tin of Milo (chocolate flavoured malted milk powder for cold or hot drinks).
  17. Following along. Sailing on the Grand in approx 6 weeks time. Didn’t realise they had Aussie power points.
