  1. Yes you can, we have just cruised on the Indy and noticed many people with their water underarm 😄
  2. We are just off the Independence and had a fantastic Captain's Corner with Captain Marshall!!!
  3. We also had sugar free Strawberry-Kiwi on the Allure.
  4. Sailed out of Port Canaveral last week and we were NOT asked any heath questions ..... they had told us that we would have a wellness check at the pier ....... NOTHING!!!!
  5. We just disembarked our cruise on the Independence yesterday and they did NOT have any health questionnaires at the terminal, they also did not ask for our vax cards (I did think that was strange though).
  6. Aw come on, where's your sense of adventure ...... no photo in the middle of the night????? 🤣🤣 I had to laugh because I took my photo in the middle of the night, in my PJ's, for our Allure cruise and every time I saw my pic when disembarking and embarking at our ports of call I would have a private chuckle ...... hilarious. And if you knew me and my OCD tendencies I am sure you would shake your head and say "what was she thinking". The answer is I obviously didn't (think it through) in the middle of the night. Luckily the ship staff didn't give it a thought.
  7. Thanks everyone for the helpful replies!!
  8. Are you allowed to assist your FIL while he is doing his test? Answer questions and help with moving the phone/camera around etc
  9. We will be on the Independence and wondered if they supply towels on CocoCay or do we need to bring our pool towels from the ship?
  10. Have just watched a couple of episodes of The Bachelorette which take place on the "Valiant Lady" in Europe ...... I was extremely unimpressed. Won't be booking VV anytime soon. Different strokes for different folks, as they say.
  11. We visited Church on the Rock which was great ...... As others have said the Hop On Hop Off bus is a fabulous way to visit any big city for the first time. Hop off when you see something that appeals to you. We enjoyed the market as well. We did a Scandinavia and Russia cruise and have got to say Russia and Estonia were our favorites, Sweden, Denmark and Finland were OK. To each his own ........ we still had an enjoyable day, just not Wow .....
  12. I checked the barcode and saw my "cabin number" and then 2 days later the exact same cabin showed up on my App. It took just over a week from booking till cabin was assigned. I guess the length of time depends on how far out or close you are to your sailing. We booked 3 and a half weeks from sailing.
  13. I do exactly the same! We do such a lot of International travel, when not cruising then we are travelling to South Africa or on Safari so staying within our 50lb weigh limit is sometimes a challenge. Especially since we have family in SA and take over tons of gifts and also bring back lots of heavy grocery items. So I don't take full shampoo, body wash, hand soaps, toothpaste etc, I do what you do. Both hubby and I are neatniks so even if in an inside cabin we don't have any clutter around. We do much of what everyone here says, cubes are perfect. I have to admit to being pretty OCD too, so hanging all kinds of crap from my cabin walls makes me feel as cluttered as leaving it lying around. I do have a magnetic clip though for excursion tickets, invitations etc - just to keep this type of paperwork safe and easily accessible.
  14. Thanks for the replies ...... I guess we can leave the water shoes at home!
  15. I should have mentioned this in my favorites as well. That raisin bread is perfection!!
  16. I was wondering if it's necessary to wear water shoes for swimming at Chill Island (or any of the other beaches)? The most ideal beach for us would be one with a sandy bottom. Thank you.
  17. If you're not a Windjammer fan - please scroll on by! So what is your favorite dish, item etc on the Windjammer buffet. Do you think that a Windjammer on a certain ship is much better then another? We are huge curry fans, and loved the variety of curries on the Allure recently. We also loved their various bread puddings ... yummy.
  18. Not entirely true - as of today our European cruise leaving out of Rome is still 2 days as well.
  19. So confused!!!! I am sailing in 2 weeks time on a 5 day cruise from the US. RCCL website Healthy Sail Center, as of today clearly says, that from 8th August "fully vaccinated guests will only have to show a test result at boarding if 6 nights or longer." Yesterday and today I received updates by email from RCCL and BOTH state that testing is required 2 days before boarding. Why all the conflicting reports RCCL?????
  20. Yes I have an assigned cabin on Deck 9 towards the aft, not too far from the elevators. Perfect position for us ..... we choose to be close to the aft elevators usually, so this is great! So very pleased.
  21. Eureka! It worked. I had been trying to do it from my MacBook, but of course when I pulled up the set sail on my iPhone there was the "add to your apple wallet" button. Many thanks for yours and everyones help.
  22. Thanks but rookie question - how do I add my set sail pass to my apple wallet. I only have apple pay set up in my apple wallet.
  23. We cruise fairly regularly but have not taken the guarantee option till now. The booking is pretty much last minute and the cruise is in 2 and a half weeks. We booked 2 days ago and it is still showing on our App as GTY. My question is: Is there a chance of being assigned a cabin number soon or is it more likely that it will only be done on embarkation?
  24. Looking forward to your review, we are on the Odyssey in a couple of months time also out of Civitavecchia to Greece and Israel and then staying on for a B2B Transatlantic back home to the States..
