Last time we went it rained in the morning, so we took the ferry to Hamilton. We did not find shopping that interesting, so we went back to the ship for lunch and then headed to Horseshoe Beach. Of course, as soon as we got there it started raining. In the end it was on and off drizzle, so we spent a couple of hours there and enjoyed it.
We have had cruise stops about a half dozen times (Nassau). We have always gotten off the ship. We have gone to the beach, the straw market and Queens Staircase. I agree that there are nice places. Also, some places that one might feel uncomfortable.
If you want history and castles, British Isles is great (went last summer). However, on a first trip its tough to top Barcelona, Rome, Florence, Naples, on the Med. Its been posted before but here is a link to my video from last summer.
I have cruised out of Baltimore twice in late December. You should figure on it being cold on, at least, the first and last days. On both trips, the water was rougher than when we have cruised from Baltimore in the summer. That does not mean it always will be. Remember, in January it can also snow.
I am looking to move to a full frame camera. I currently shoot with a Canon 60D. The question is to trade my Canon stuff in and move to a Nikon z5 with a 24-200 lens or to keep my current lenses and buy a Canon R8 with the adapter. Thoughts?
