  1. Going rate seems to be $7.00 per person each way. Other ways to get there: walk(not recommended); ride a bicycle ( not recommended); rent a moped/scooter (definitely not recommended); take the municipal bus ( cheaper, but then you have to walk up and down the VERY BIG HILL); swim ( too far). Seriously, the $7.00 per person is the best bet!
  2. Thank you. If you go to NCLs terms and conditions for the free at sea program, and then go to specialty dining, it states ( as of five minutes ago) that balconies on twelve day or longer cruises receive three nights of free dining.
  3. If the weekend day we're speaking of is Sunday, the NCL ferry does not run to St. George.
  4. It is called the Bermuda Travel Authorization. Pretty much thirty days before your arrival, they will list your ship and time in port on their website. You then register each person, provide proof of vaccination, and send them a $40.00 payment per person.(It was $75.00). They then send you your "authorization" to visit the island. Every person entering their waters has to have one, whether you set foot on Bermuda soil or not. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of posts on CC over the last year or so about this subject. You just need to do some research. Happy Sailing!!
  5. Has anyone experienced a Meet and Greet with Officers; a slot pull with the blessings of the casino staff (i.e. where they might throw in a bottle or two of bubbly for the big "winners", or a cabin crawl lately? When we sailed early April none of the above were allowed. I don't think dinners with officers or behind the scenes tours are happening yet, so was wondering about the above.
  6. The European way of writing dates is so different than what we are used to. I'm willing to bet more than a few CCers looked at your topic heading and wondered "what in God's name is this post all about?" Until they take the time to find out where you are from. And those that don't take the time are probably still trying to figure it out!!
  7. I'm sure they require the check as an additional form of payment for all the folks who, at the end of the week, don't have enough credit on their cards or have limits on ATM withdrawal amounts, and can't come up with the funds to pay off the credit line. Then if someone tenders a bad instrument ( writes a bad check) NCL would have the option of filing charges and having the offending person arrested and charged with a misdemeanor or a felony, depending on the amount of the check.
  8. CAS rules state you will provide a check to the casino cashier before any funds are disbursed. So, yeah, I guess you'd need a check!!
  9. Back in 2010 or 11 there was such a glut of lobster in New England that chickens (one to one and a quarter pounds) were being sold for a couple bucks each. We were on the Dawn from Beantown to Bermuda .NCL literally went out and purchased thousands of lobsters. They served them in the MDRs the first and second nights. The first night it was one per person. The second night, since lobsters only live under refrigeration for so long, it was come and get em, all you can eat till they were gone. Think I consumed four that night!! It was cheaper for NCL to serve someone a lobster than it was a steak!! The lobster tails served now all seem to be Florida/ Gulf Coast rock lobster. It's like comparing a filet mignon to a London broil. No comparison!!
  10. No. As long as you can prove you are positive via a proctored/supervised test you are entitled to a full refund or FCC, your choice. If you test positive while cruise is underway, your fare will be pro-rated.
  11. Are those shots from your home? If so, you must have had great front row seats for the America's Cup back in 17!
  12. Except for no room service charges for breakfast, the spa credit, and the canapes, platinum members receive all the rest. Technically, I guess you could come out ahead if you had breakfast delivered everyday ( roughly $84.00 in charges) and had at least two spa massages/treatments ($100.00). Language is kind of vague as to how many spa sessions the credit can be used for. If it is more than two, you'd be that much further ahead. BTW, are those complimentary canapes Del Monte or Libby?
  13. Can someone tell me the size of the new cabin, ship cards? License size, bigger than a license, smaller than a breadbox? We want to buy a couple plastic holders to put on lanyards. But don't want to purchase ones too big or too small. Thanking you in advance.
