  1. Unless they’ve changed their policy very recently, as Bird Travels stated above, only ruby and elite tier players get the fees waived. No matter if you use your cabin card or your casino card.
  2. Was still 3% our last cruise in April to charge slot machine play to your cabin. If you withdraw $1000.00, that will incur a $30.00 fee. Taking the same amount from the casino ATM, if I remember correctly, was $6.99. Your financial institution may have an additional charge, but overall the ATM will cost you less. The only positive about charging to your cabin ( hence your credit card) is that NCL charges everything on your credit account as purchases. So if you charge a couple thousand you’ll be billed at your purchase rate ( let’s say 16%) instead of your cash advance rate, which can be 30% or more on some cards. But then you’d still have to pay the 3% fee. l
  3. The mini-suite balconies on the Jewel class ships are fifty four square feet, compared to thirty six square feet in a Balcony cabin. Overall, mini-suites have approximately one hundred square feet more ( than balcony cabins). It is like gaining an extra ten by ten room. Well worth it, if the price isn’t outrageous, just for the extra balcony and bathroom space. Just be careful where your cabin is.Forward under the spa, library, or card/ photo rooms are an excellent choice. Under the gym, buffet or the pool area- hit or miss. A cabin under LaCucina is a good choice, as outside of extra seating for breakfast and lunch for the buffet( and I’ve never seen many people in there at these times) it’s only open from approx. four PM to ten PM. Aft under the Great Outdoors are always desirable cabins. Happy Cruising!!
  4. Meet and Mingle? New to me. Always known it as Meet and Greet.
  5. Are you platinum or above? Since we hit platinum, no matter what we put down for an arrival time, when we print our e-docs it always says “Open” under arrival time.
  6. The roll call for our upcoming October cruise currently has 85 posts. 51 of them, or 60%, come from three posters. 4 have 1 each, 2 have 2 each; the other 26 divided among 4 others. A total of 13 participants, some who have not posted in months. We had the same non-activity on our April cruise. So yeah, I think roll calls in general, outside of a few really active ones, are becoming a dinosaur here on CC. I certainly wouldn’t want to call NCL to set up an M+G with our level of participation. They would probably laugh at me !!
  7. Agree!! Bermuda fish chowder and red onion rings at Frog and Onion. It’s worth the trip!!
  8. Sorry, trying to type on an I-Pad and it’s not very user friendly, compared to my (broken) laptop. Suffice it to say the slots were the tightest I have ever encountered, and actually stayed out of the casino the last two days/ nights.
  9. Had the same experience on the Pearl in April. The slots were the tightest I have ever enc
  10. Asked the exact same question to our waiter in Cagney's back in April. Was told they keep cash and split tips added to receipt.Policy may have changed. Or not!!
  11. As Flaham just said, once you board there will be a crew member selling the soda package. She/he will write your name/ cabin number on a receipt. You then take this to guest services along with your ship/cabin card. They then issue you a new card ( even though you may have just received one within the last hour or so), with the soda package info embedded in the new card. They used to issue stickers to attach to the cards, but didn't work out well, as folks kept losing them.
  12. The rule is within four days of arrival on the Island, not within four days of travel. From Boston, you would test on Wednesday, embark on Friday, and arrive on Sunday. That meets Bermuda's four day rule, and also satisfies NCLs two day covid test for embarkation. The same test covers both entities requirements.
  13. Our cruise in April was 60 days: upcoming October cruise is (was-already paid) 120 days. I believe they returned to the 120 days on May 1.
  14. You do realize that my post was an attempt at humor about NCLs never ending but worded differently "sale". Don't you?
  15. Current promo of 70% off 2nd guest will save you a ton of money over the last promo of 35% off 1st and 2nd guests. It's the sale we've all been waiting for!!
  16. RCI has so many " of the seas" it's hard to keep track of them all. 26 last time I checked. But I should have checked your post again to make sure I had the right ship. My bad!!
  17. Maybe the Silhouette will leave an hour earlier, and the Adventure of the Seas will dock an hour later.Problem solved!! Back six or seven years ago, we were on the Dawn and docked at Heritage Wharf. Due to some kind of miscommunication, there was a much larger ship coming in the next day, ( can't recall the ship), and we were docked in the wrong berth. They announced that no one would be allowed on or off the ship from 9-11AM the next morning. So they then had to pick up the gangways, portable tents, towel stations, etc. All the stuff they bring out . Then had to pull in the ropes, fire up the engines, move down to King's Wharf, and set everything back up again. Quite the chore to have to go through for the crew.
  18. Not worth the trip, IMHO.
  19. On a seven day cruise, balconies and above receive two free dinners per person; studios, oceanviews, and insides qualify for one pp. This is limited to two pax per cabin.
  20. Big enough for your tablet and all the cash you'll win in the casino!!
  21. Must be drinking a wee bit of that "holloween" hard cider a little early!!
  22. As Bird said, should be an older group, since kids will be back in school. The later in the month you cruise, the colder it may get the further north you go. So could limit outdoor activities. Not sure how full your cruise will be, but historically the Boston to Quebec/Quebec to Boston and the Boston to northern New England/Nova Scotia/PEI and return cruises all sail at capacity. NCL keeps adding additional cruises to these ports each year, as they are so popular and command higher fares. The vibe could be mellow, or you could have a shipload of "rockin oldies". Time will tell!!
