  1. We fill an empty coke bottle from the cabin bathroom and leave it to chill overnight in the fridge. Or you can buy it from P&O, or on the newest ships they do have water filling stations in the buffet.
  2. All cabins have fridges, but they dont always chill as well as your home fridge.
  3. Turn the brightness control up then, as my sons said to me when I made the same comment.
  4. If true I wonder what they will do with all the chilled storage areas they have on board. I went on a Ventura behind the scenes tour a few years ago and one part of a deck was full of food storage areas. Palket loads of sacks of potatoes and every veg you could think of, boxes of all sorts of fish, and meat storage areas. Maybe that's where they are putting all the cheap saver inside cabin fare passengers!!!
  5. If you arrive by car what do you do about the ones that don't return to Liverpool though?
  6. You need to be very careful that it doesn't up and fly away before you can eat it!!😁
  7. I wonder how Sky Princess with 3600 passengers copes with the QE11 terminal, I notice she will be using it quite a lot this summer.
  8. I doubt that bugs on cabin surfaces of a cruise out of Southampton, are likely to be of an alien variety, and if you are worried about water born foreign water bugs, then I hope you avoid ice in any drinks you buy while ashore.
  9. My phone sits in my shorts or trouser pocket when on holiday, and unless it rings, or I want to google something, I don't really know it's there, it's not a problem to have it available.
  10. If the Hunters chicken is as good as a Sainsburys ready meal, then I would not complain.
  11. I am on O2 via Sky, I think 3g is safe on there for a year or two, by which time I will be ready for a new phone.
  12. Just as long as you dont get too stressed about it, especially when you forget to pack the dettol wipes.
  13. Just made the same point to a neat freak on the Princess board, that stressing about wiping down all the surfaces in the cabin when they start a cruise, is probably worse than letting your immune system come into contact with a few germs.😇
  14. It's supposed to give the 6 brand VPs a more direct line to Weinstein. I do hope that Ludlow makes more sense to Weinstein that he does to his passengers.
  15. I would be happy if P&Os IT was up to 20th century standards.
  16. We have just had to cancel an Arvia Med cruise on 17th Sept this year, so there is an accessible balcony cabin available, if you're quick.
  17. I have always believed that a little bit of muck never does you any harm, in fact it probably helps to keep your immune system in top working order. We have never bothered trying to second guess whether the cabin steward, or room maid in a hotel, have done their jobs properly, and never picked up any illnesses as a result, maybe we have just been lucky, or perhaps worry and stress leaves you more likely to suffer from the ever present germs?
  18. The fridges in P&Os Royal class, Britannia, as well as the new LNG excel class, certainly keep drinks and my Kit Kat bars well chilled. So I hope the Sky Princess ones are as efficient for our July cruise.
  19. The air hostesses don't, but the cleaning staff that service each aircraft between flights should do so as part of their cleaning regime.
  20. We recently had a 50% off PP and a deposit of only £1pp special offer in the UK.
  21. Seems unlikely, it costs CCL exactly the same regardless of the share price, so although it seems very beneficial for shareholders at the current price, the loss of goodwill if CCL reduced the benefit, is likely to far outweigh any savings they would make.
  22. I did download a couple of free QR readers, but they were both full of adds that made using them difficult. My phone is only a 5 year old Samsung galaxy A20e, but only operates on 2g or 3g, and won't run Sainsbury smart shop either.
  23. Binning it rather than reusing it is only going to lead to a further increase in plastic usage.😯
