  1. The baggage handlers will have labels that you can attach, just ensure you know your cabin number which will need adding.
  2. Sunday night at the London Palladium with a revolving stage and high kicking dancing girls, those were the days.
  3. I am not sure that is correct, the app knows who is in the cabin and only let's you book those in your cabin.
  4. Just a heads up that Princess have a special 3 day offer for 2024 cruises, with a deposit of only £1pp, and Princess plus at half price, and they do have accessible cabins available as well. It runs until 6th May.
  5. But we all know that P&O customer service are notoriously poorly trained, and you cant always trust them to give you accurate information. Try again and hope to get someone better trained.
  6. If the P&O system thinks your card has expired, maybe they wont be able to charge you for your on board spend, that could save you a few pounds.
  7. In that case I think you are being a bit harsh with your criticism of your TA. However I would expect the agent I use at the same cruise agency to be a lot more sympathetic than yours seems to have been.
  8. 1400 metre of quay is quite substantial, Iona is 345m in length, but she has a draft of 11.8m so the Excel class ships will not be able to berth there, but Ventura and Britannia could, as well as any of the Princess Royal class.
  9. I assume you dont still have the mail shot? Which is why I ask for e-mails, as well as post, then P&O send most info via e-mail, so you always have a copy to refer back to.
  10. AidaAura is the baby of the fleet, only just over 42000 tonnes and about 1250 passengers. I wonder what is the biggest ship size Aberdeen can accomodate?
  11. So far the majority of the Excel class ships have gone to Europe, Aida, Costa and P&0 have received 6 and Carnival has received 2. So IMO it's unlikely that US styling will have taken precedence over European styling, if that is what you are implying. It's more likely that P&O are just making bad arrangements about the evening buffet layout on Celebtation night.
  12. The theatre has very limited wheelchair plus carer seating, so if we want to sit together there is no option except to try to be among the first to enter.
  13. But I assume it's only serving12:00 - 2:00 as a normal port day.
  14. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavours, do please let us know if P&O fully meet your expectations, and if not whether the senior staff manage to sort out any problems to your full satisfaction.
  15. On previous cruises on all ships over the last 12 yrs, except Arcadia which we did not sail on, queues for the MDR in an evening have generally been 5-10 minutes on average. I wonder if the more open queuing areas on the other ships tends to make it feel less crowded?
  16. The gentle rolling that helps you to have a really good sleep.
  17. BUT, if they have to wait to see what is put in front of them, then requesting more is going to cause some problems. I know you said to ask before your meal arrives, but you never know just how big the portions of varying meals are going to be, so that is not always possible. Maybe there should be a display table at the restaurant entrance, or a photo display as you queue?
  18. I suspect that most of our recollections of Celebritys superior service were pre covid, certainly our last one was 2016 when coffee and juice trolleys were evident in the buffet, and the quality of the MDR meals was far superior to P&O at the time, and danish pastry trays were evident in the MDR at breakfast.
  19. Is that permanent or are they waiting for them to be delivered?
  20. Does Sky Princess have tea and coffee making facilities, like P&O?
  21. On Iona there were glasses of the right size in the bathroom.
  22. Oh dear that will really disappoint YorkyPete.😇
  23. Dont know about evening meals, we have never used the buffet on Iona for dinner,, but breakfast was identical to the older ships.
  24. Does the advertising blurb actually promise to whisk you straight through?
  25. I think the better probably referred to the layout, Azura and Ventura must have the wort buffet design of any cruise ship, Britannia and the 2 new Excel ships have are much better designed.
