We use George's Taxi for meet/greet/assist with luggage/ride to Plaka area hotel. Can't recall rate but in the same range.

We cruise to many armpit ports, including almost all in Africa. Personal preference I suppose. Game viewing is better in winter, wine country in summer. Either way you have to get to Capetown and west Africa has no appeal to this traveller.

East coast of Africa southbound after visits to Maldives and Seychelles but do it in the southern hemisphere winter/spring so we could do safaris in the high season instead of the low/hot/wet season.

If that is true, the ship should skip the port. Angola requirements are ludicrous. Most other lines doing west coast itineraries don't even bother.

Nothing good in Angola anyway. Add a sea day.

Our show in Myanmar was similar. Very colorful, set in a park with Schwedagon temple glowing at night. No floating candles though.

Far and away the best Azamazing Evening we ever saw was the Riverdance show at the Gaiety Theater in Dublin.

She was unhappy that the "dream team" was split up by management. I think she started thinking that there were better contracts out there (Russ on Crystal then Silversea). We spoke with her at the end of her last gig on the Pursuit and we could sense her unhappiness. She wanted more time off, not more money although I'll bet she gets both. At that time we felt that she wouldn't return from vacation. We will miss her but may catch up with her on another cruise line.

Readily accessible memorable scenery: Kotor, Amalfi, Catania Be aware that this is an Adriatic Sea intensive cruise. Personally I like the Adriatic towns/ports and you don't spend your time being dragged from one Roman ruin to the next. Eastern Med is mainly Greece and Turkey. Many areas are mountainous and have scenic beaches. Very pretty but can involve a lot of walking. But Kotor (sail in and "fjord"), Amalfi (coastal tour to Positano by boat, or take the coastal road), and Catania (Mt. Etna) are unique in the world. All comments are just my experience and preferences.

Does Azamara still dock in Amsterdam by the Central station?

Of the hotels mentioned, all are good. Prefer the location of the Mayfair and Grosvenor House.

We boarded Pursuit in Piraeus in April. No issues with the Covid testing. But the computers kept coming and going and crashing. The contracted check-in staff and systems couldn't handle it and it took a long time to board. Then shortly after we boarded the computers gasped their last breath. Azamara took over and did all the processing on the ship. There were a lot of disgruntled pax on that one too. There seem to be a lot of embarkation fiascoes across all cruise lines, from 3 star to 6 star, and all ports these days. Luck of the draw. Just have to go with it.

We always do V cabins, but to be honest we don't use the balcony that much. In port, no need. At sea, too windy. Cooler climates, maybe to snap a sunset photo otherwise forget it. Seems to mainly serve to reduce claustrophobia.

Aren't the new cat 05s on the port side where the shorex desk was back on the day?

Does that mean that you travel light? It certainly doesn't answer the question. I have 300 nights on the other 3 ships and they do not put the fridge in the wardrobe.
