  1. We did the med and transatlantic on the Sunshine, 2013. The Med cruise was 10 port intensive days with not much time to explore the ship. The passengers are so beat at the end of the day it's quiet time off to bed to be ready for the next day. It was fun but then the 16 day transatlantic home was great time to unwind. Great amount of days to explore. Doing the same on the Vista.

  2. We took a cruise from Venice in 2013. We took the airport bus into Venice. We stayed at the Santa Chiara Hotel. You get off the bus and cross the street and there is the hotel. No bridges to cross. There is an elevator. The breakfast buffet was plentiful. There is a little supermarket for things you may have forgotten. I bought my hair spray and little things I didn't want to pack. the supermarket is within a short walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is at the end of the canal so you can get the full tour on the ride up to St Marks Square. We had such a beautiful room that faced the canal that intersects two waterways and two windows we could open and get the full feeling of Venice. We would stay there again.

  3. We have stayed at hotel Santa Chiara. Right off the bus to the hotel. No bridges to walk over. When we left for the ship we walked out and took a cab. Was about 10 euros. The port is close but getting your bags up to the people mover then walk to drop off luggage looked like to much for my bad hip. Was worth the taxi. Dropped us off where we left our bags. The hotel does have an elevator.

  4. We loved Venice. You never know what you'll find walking the town. We came across what appeared to be a water well used in the older days. I couldn't tell you where it was but we had a great time exploring Venice. Hoping to get back next year. I loved the atmosphere of this town.

  5. We had a wonderful stay at the Santa Chiara hotel right in piazelle Roma. The airport let us off and we just walked across the lot and we were there. No bridges to maneuver. It's quaint Italian charm. Great morning breakfast to get us started. We're hoping to return.

  6. We have never had to use insurance on any of our cruises. We've always used Travelguard. But..... When we recently took a cruise i purchased CCL insurance. Two days after sailing I Went to medical and incurred a $200.00 charge. I never thought I'd need the medical dept. Dr visit and meds. My own dr said if I'd have ignored this it could've been worse. It's a crap shoot at best.

  7. We did 28 days last year on the Sunshine. 12 days in the Mediterranean and 16 days back to New Orleans. The 12 day part was port intensive so the 16 days back with only three ports was so relaxing. Slept a little later stayed up later. We will do it again. The longest stretch of sea days was 6. Coming from Malaga to New Orleans.

  8. Guys, blue iguana cantina, the Mongolian wok, sea day brunch, tea time are all included. Steak house, suess breakfast, coffee bar, sweet desserts at the coffee bar there is a charge. Ice cream and pizza free. Room service free, limited menu, tip for delivery. Have fun whatever you do.

  9. I had 9358 on the breeze in May of this year. The lido resturants are above with a nice overhang. The cabin was in an area with the lido resturant tables being over the room. Never heard any noise and no one on a balcony above us. The space on the lido was like a dead space.

  10. If you want to do something for your pvp then don't tip them. I have a better idea. I have a pvp that took over for my old pvp. I was concerned that I wouldn't get the same level of service with someone new. So after a few years and europe and transatlantic cruises I found he was a gem. I asked him for his supervisors address and forwarded a letter to them. I received an email from the supervisor asking me if they could read my letter in a corporate meeting. Pvp was rewarded, letter put into his personnel file. He was grateful for the recognition.
