  1. Only 18 days. NYC to San Juan. Booked the about a month ago. Im usually the person to book far in advance so I can do research. Got a good deal and made all the arrangements in 3 hrs, flights, hotels excursions. Need some warmth again. I think we've by passed fall here in Michigan.

  2. I hope that no matter what happens on your cruise you can accept the who cares attitude. i guess that's a great attitude to have. I'm sure that your next cruise no matter what happens we won't find you complaining at guest services because " who cares?"

  3. Our best cruise was last October. We flew to venice to board the Sunshine which did a 12 day Mediterranean and the transatlantic to New Orleans. 28 days on board. The only thing is now it seems 8 days isn't enough. Going on the splendor for 8 days is better than staying home. Boarding the splendor 10/24/14.

  4. We went on The Breeze in May. One of my sisters has nut and fruit allergies. They were very careful making sure they followed her direction, waitstaff. I don't think I watched her starve. She carried an epi pen just in case. She stayed away from the sweets , always possibility of nuts in baking. I was surprised to see the variety of things she ate. I think the last thing the staff wants is an emergency situation in front of hundreds of people.

  5. Oh no, we have two rooms on deck 2 right near the Atrium elevators. An oceanview and interior. What can we expect with these rooms.

We had cabin 2170 on the sunshine for 28 days. It was quiet. No traffic. Easy to get to the showroom and dinner. It was under the shore excursion desk and we still never heard anything. It seems that the room was a tad larger due, I think, to the design of the ship. It seemed to have a longer couch. It is also under deck 3 outside deck but it's usually very quiet out there. We never heard the elevators or music. Enjoy the sunshine, we loved it.

  6. We have done Grand Turks twice. We are in our late 60's and we love just chilling at margaritaville. We grab a table at the pool, in the shade. Order up a drink and people watch. There is a dj and he plays some silly games. Close to nice restrooms, foods a bit of exspensive but what the heck we're on vacation. Plus it's nice to take a dip in their gigantic pool.

  7. Some people are constant complainers. Some of us take these reviews with an open mind and make the trip and see for ourselves. Hubby and I did 28 days on the sunshine europe and transatlantic cruise. We had great a cabin steward, waitstaff, and ports. I loved the new decor, the serenity decks and even tho we had no kids with us we loved watching kids use the water park. And a ropes course There were always places that were crowded and a lot of quiet places. Don't be sorry you booked the Sunshine. I just did the breeze in May and would do the Sunshine in a heartbeat. Whatever you choose have fun.

  8. Your friends may be on different reservations but are they in your cabin? If everyone backs off and you are alone in the cabin your price may go up. They need two payed fares per cabin. Alone in the cabin you pay the single supplement. Hope I understood you correctly. Have fun

  9. See you on board and I'll make sure to sing "Happy Birthday To You." It's not going to be my birthday but this deal makes it feel like it will be. ;) I didn't take a balcony. That $160. will go towards a scuba diver certification course I'm planning on taking on another cruise. I'll just pop in and borrow yours. :D

Wow! You've got a great two months of adventures scheduled. It really took me about an hour to research ways to get to NY and home from San Juan. It was cheaper to fly home on Sunday staying over in sj for the night. Hubby kept watching me on my ipad, i was waiting for his "do it" answer. He's so laid back finally a why not from him. We are not planning on many excursions so he likes the balcony. Only places we've not been, St. kitts and Antigua. Love St. Thomas to trunk bay in St. John's.

  10. If you don't mind my asking, are you Platinum, Diamond or Gold? How many cruises have you been on? Just curious...

Actually, never mind... I see you have been on at least 10 and some very nice ones at that...:D

We are platinum. I have 93 days and just did a sisters cruise in May. Hubby got the offer tho. He has 85 days. We use his card for shopping gambling... But I can't think that would be how they chose him. We had so much on board credit on the med cruise that they paid us $96 before the transatlantic began. It looks like no rhyme or reason to these offers. Luck maybe since we never have any in the casino.
