  1. Thats the elites choice to share his/her limited and preset perk, just like obc's. There is no more freebies after they are used up.

The laundry perk is unlimited and cost the company more if shared and abused. Over time, like any perks, elite, suite, etc... abuse will end in limits or cancellation, as it affects the companies bottom line, or service levels. It happends in all loyalty progams in all fields.

The abuse of the few, will ruin it for the many,

  2. Funny thing in reading this thread, its ok to abuse the elite perk, this is why perks are disappearing.

Almost the same people would be critical of someone wanting to smuggle alcohol onboard.

Cheating is cheating, if one person is not elite, and the other is, pay for your laundry.

  3. Why even stress on it, enjoy breakfast and take your time. Stressing on a flight after your cruise? Why?

What happends if more ships in port also?

Eveyone asks, no one ever listens, same advice and post responding. They should just put up a sticky that if your flight is before 1230 you take your chances.

  4. My GF checked 'yes' once, she was taken out of line, asked to wait for medical staff that never showed up after 2 hours. Then they allowed us to board, aand quarenteed her in the cabin until medical staff showed up, after another hour no one showed up. Finally got a phone call telling us they couldn't make it to the room, and everything was ok.

What a joke, 4 hours wasted for being honest, and they didn't care enough to follow up on the form.

  5. For anyone reading this from Canada, consider yourself same as a domestic USA flyer. The airport experience is no different.

Thats because our customs are when we get home, they only recommend earlier flight times if you need to go through customs. Connection times in Canada is another thing.

11am flight should be ok from FLL, may be tougher from MIA

  6. If you also saw who threw it would you have reported them to security?

Definately, for safety reasons, or at least a very stern warning. In this case the victim was victimized twice.

Not up to us to police other passengers

  7. Service dogs can be all shapes and sizes. Depending how it was in the dining room may tell if was a real service dog. It if was laying quiety under table, then most likely it was, most are well trained.

There are many online sites that sell fake credentials to bypass rules. Tgey even suppy the fake vests

If it was barking and jumping around, most likely fake.

Service dogs can be for many reasons thst people do not see.

  8. I am technologically inept. The phone that hit me was more advanced than mine (most are), but yes, I could remove the battery. I used I-phone generically (like people use kleenex).

And no, I would not pick up a forgotten I-Pad in the airport except to immediately turn it into lost and found.

And, no the teen was not rushing down the steps to find the phone, the horseplay was continuing.

Removing the battery was intent of disabling operation and tracking facilities of the phone. INTENT. therefore theft, or at least mischief. You knew enough to remove the battery.

If I saw you do it, I would have reported it to security. Who gave you the right to be judge, jury, and executioner? Not all items in lost and found get found, so you may also have cost the owner replacement costs.

If the kids followed you to your stateroom, and security found it in your safe, you would have some explaining to do to stay on the ship.

  9. Only difference is that once we decided we weren't going to take the offer, I might still have wanted to do a little brain-picking and find out the details from a Princess rep, who doesn't work on commission, whereas I would have been reluctant to waste the time of my TA, who does.

So its ok to bother a princess rep not on commision, but not a TA that is? That you hired?

  10. All inclusive resorts have had prepaid gratuities for years. Most don't suffer from bad service, as the service providers know that they will get a bit extra if they provide the services expected.

Just like tipping a bartender onboard, I guarantee you won't need to look for one if you leave an extra tip. The actually start to hound you a bit if you do.

  11. You forget: Princess doesn't own the terminals which if it is a cruise terminal, it's configured for all the cruise lines sailing from there. Plus there are some embarkation terminals that aren't even really terminals as the ship embarks in a commercial port. You'd be paying the port/city.

I think that overall, Princess does a good job with the available facilities.

I would say princess rents the facility when they use it don't they? Or we would be paying a fee before we enter it. So they would be able to decide how they want to use the rental property. They can designate the rooms any way they wish I would assume. They can use the room in the above photos for a daycare for the kids until the parents are called to board if they wish.

Maybe that's their plan, get enough people that have access to priority boarding upset as being stuffed in a specific section, that they will be willing to pay for not waiting with the rest. Amusement parks been doing it for years with their Fasttrack access, and such.

If princess decides to make use of the rooms for children or pay for boarding, its their right to do so...

Just like when you rent a venue for a wedding or party, you can decide how the tables, stage, bar, etc are situated. You can use the coat room for coats, or as a bar. The owner doesn't care how its used as long as there are no permanent modifications are made.
