  1. Gotta love marketers to spin things: "More water for you".
  2. The break even for the refreshment package is 3-5 drinks/day. The app may list some prices.
  3. RCI IT incompetence answers a lot of issues.
  4. The GGG editor seems to have been laid off again but it's that time of the year when spring repos are at some of the lowest prices - many below $50pppd.
  5. Have some random after 4PM flight picked out if they do.
  6. " World Dream, previously part of Genting Hong Kong's Dream Cruises, has been sold to an unnamed buyer that multiple sources identified as Cruise Saudi. Neither Cruise Saudi nor KfW IPEX-Bank responded to requests for information on Monday. The 2017-built World Dream measures 150,695gt with capacity for 5,000 passengers. The Singapore Sheriff's Office listed the ship as sold on Friday. The buyer and price were not disclosed. Arrested in March The sheriff had put World Dream up for auction following its March 2022 arrest by KfW IPEX-Bank in Singapore. Bids were due Dec. 21. World Dream reportedly drew little interest and sources said KfW had submitted a protective bid. A sale to Cruise Saudi has been rumored for many weeks. With this, all the former Genting HK vessels — those that sailed for Dream Cruises, Star Cruises and Crystal Cruises — have found new owners or been demolished. (Look for a recap of where they all went in the March issue of Seatrade Cruise Review, the official publication of Seatrade Cruise Global.) Sister Genting Dream sails for Resorts World Cruises World Dream is the sister of 2016's Genting Dream, currently sailing for Resorts World Cruises on charter from a consortium of Chinese banks that acquired the ship for $900m in 2020, before Genting HK's collapse. The former Dream Cruises ship Explorer Dream is also being chartered to Resorts World Cruises and is due to start service from Hong Kong as Resorts World One in March with Kaohsiung, Taiwan to be added as a transit port and homeport in early April. Global Dream to Disney The giant, unfinished newbuild Global Dream went to Disney Cruise Line, which plans to complete it at MV Werften, with the help of Meyer Werft. Part of the work will reduce capacity from the 9,000 passenger count to approximately 6,000. The ship will be renamed and is expected to begin sailing in 2025 for new markets outside the US." 7. When 274 days is not quite enough: " Miray Cruises has announced it will open for bookings for a three-year world cruise on March 1, 2023. The cruise will sail onboard the 1992-built MV Gemini and visit 135 countries on seven continents from November 2023 through the end of 2026. The fantastic part of the three-year cruise is that the cost for guests can be as little as $2,500 per stateroom per month. This provides an excellent opportunity for those looking to travel while working while having all their daily needs taken care of. Three Years At Sea It won’t be something everyone will enjoy, but many will still see the benefits of embarking on a three-year journey that will span 130,000 miles, visit 375 ports of call in 135 different countries, and sail to all seven continents. Miray Cruises announced it would be opening up bookings for the first-ever three-year world cruise. In essence, the cruise is a variation of the ever-more popular concept of living onboard a ship. Several companies announced new residency ships in the last year, where guests live onboard instead of ashore. The cruise will sail on November 1, 2023, and return in 2026. MV Gemini‘s journey around the world will begin in November of this year. Most ports of call on the trip will include several days in port, giving guests a chance to fully explore each destination, which includes 13 of the modern and ancient Wonders of the World The cruise ship will have been fully modernized by the time she sets sail. Currently, she is in use to housing earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria. The cruise line is aimed towards working professionals that want to spend time at sea while being able to carry out their work remotely. Aiming for Remote Workers For just $85 per day for a stateroom onboard the MV Gemini, guests will be able to enjoy world-class dining, onboard entertainment, and recreational activities with modern workspace facilities such as a first-of-its-kind business center with meeting rooms, 14 offices, a relaxing lounge, and business library. “Professionals need connectivity, the right amenities, and the functionality to perform their jobs. There is no other cruise product that offers this sort of flexibility to their customers,” says Mikael Petterson, Managing Director of Life at Sea Cruises. Image Credit: Miray Cruises The ship will also include a 24-hour on-call hospital with free medical visits, learning and enrichment classes, and the opportunity to make a positive impact through volunteer and philanthropic initiatives. Prices for the cruise start at $29,999 per year, and the entire voyage is all-inclusive. Cabins range from 130 sq ft for Virtual Inside and Oceanview staterooms to 260 sq ft Balcony Suites. MV Gemini first sets sail in 1992 as the Crown Jewel for Crown Cruise Line. Since then, the cruise ship has sailed for a long list of owners, including Cunard, Star Cruises, and Celestyal Cruises. Miray Cruises, a Turkish cruise operator and hotel services provider for the cruise industry, acquired the vessel in 2019. The ship is just 19,093 gross tons and has space for 1,074 guests." 8. Odyssey this week: solid line is actual - dotted is planned
  9. Most ships' libraries seem to be stocked to pre-COVID levels now.
  10. Gotta be careful with absolutes - RCI has had times when they forgot to put the multiple device packages on sale so that in fact two single device packages was cheaper than the 2 two device package - very rare, but it could happen.
  11. Given that you can show any pic of any test on any device at any time, do you really think they care how you did it?
  12. Only if you really want/need an internet package and the cost of Key is about the same as the internet package. Don't get it for the couple of minutes it may gain you getting on board. Read Voyager related threads via the drop-down menu on the main RCI page here at CC.
  13. At that point (first day when things were not looking good) you could have simply cancelled the UDP and got your money back (via refundable OBC) - others have reported doing that.
  14. Biker, who wonders if Thor is grinning at all these tipping threads or returned under a new name.
  15. ? The first groups after self-assist are like 15 minutes later.
  16. That’s why it’s interesting- no idea.
  17. iOS also updated to 1.39.0. The change description is interesting: We've expanded the info available on shore excursions and improved credit card messaging.
  18. You might want to also ask in the ports of call section.
  19. Neither -RCI usually sets a cutoff date by which you have to add the "old" amount as pre-paid to a booking (and you pay it at final payment). After that date, you pay the "new" amount (unless a TA can somehow manage to still get you the old rate).
