  1. I think buying FTTF is a guarantee that I'll never have to go to guest services. But, if I don't buy it, I'll have to go 2-3 times per day.
  2. Is there any way to see the itineraries and dates prior to Dec 13?
  3. Will the full summer 2024 schedule be out in time for this promotion?
  4. People can't enjoy being on vacation if they're getting sick from breathing in secondhand smoke.
  5. Both my daughter and son have sensitive lungs as well, and can't tolerate second hand smoke. If there's an issue, I'll be at the guest services desk loudly complaining, and won't leave until they do something.
  6. This thread title got the song "Happy Together" sick in my head. You'll be able to pick an arrival time at 16 days out. Other couple will at 14 days;, even if they purchase FTTF, and it's not known for sure if FTTF let's you arrive earlier than arrival time. If they get stuck with a late arrival time, early FTTF boarding call will not help as they won't be in the terminal yet.
  7. We're waiting also. Looking at possibly greenland or summer hawaii.
  8. Thanks for the input. It gives me a great start on where to focus my research. Good thing I have time to do it!
  9. Are you sure about D's and Ps not having to stick to their arrival time? I keep reading yes's and no's on this.
  10. We have school aged kids, so it's peak season for us. We've been on 4 family cruises, we have to cruises booked for summer 2023, and wife and I have gone on 2 cruises sans kids, so we know what to expect with cruises. For the same budget, it essentially comes down to 2 (maybe squeeze 3) more full days in Hawaii than the cruise vs. 10 sea days (plus a Mexico port day) for the same money.
  11. This is the one I was looking at in 2023, and wondering if they'll do it in 2024: Cruise Details - 16-Day Hawaiian Islands - Princess Cruises Thank you for the feedback, it's a lot to think about. We would love to do a 2 week Hawaiin stay, but, budget wise, that isn't feasible. For our family of 5, we came up with, as an initial estimate: 16 day cruise with flights (and 4 days full days in Hawaii): $11k 7 day land (flight, hotel, food ($50/day/person), which is 6 full days + arrival + departure): $10.5k
  12. Princess 2024 cruisetours of Alaska are available for booking now (today is the first day, actually). The princess website sells the cruise tour as a package. I don't see an option to book land only. You can book any of the cruise parts of the cruisetour as cruise only (you just have to match ship and departure date).
  13. Looking at the 2024 prices of cruisetours.... The ones I saw are significantly more than the 2023 counterparts! OUCH!
  14. I've been trying to follow this closely, in order to decide whether or not to purchase FTTF. The way I understand it is thus: 1. 16 day online check in is for platinum, diamond, and suites only (not FTTF) 2. Diamonds and platinum must stick to their arrival appointment time. Last I heard, suites do not. I have not read any reports on FTTF in this. However, the booking page for FTTF states that diamonds and platinum already have all benefits of FTTF. It would logically follow that FTTF must stick to their arrival appointment. 3. Wedding parties, suites, diamonds, platinum, and FTTF all board prior to zone A01 (I don't remember the exact order for these pre-A01 groups). 4. Without the 16 day check in window, or being able to arrive prior to the arrival time, the early boarding call for FTTF guests seems to me to be close to worthless. If you are there early enough to board with the FTTF call to board, then you got an early check in time, and thus would have gotten an early A zone anyway, meaning you would be on the ship only a few minutes later (15 minutes maybe?). If you get a later arrival time, you miss the FTTF boarding call. You do get the priority line for checking into the terminal, but, again, that saves you about 15 minutes these days? (I have no experience with these time estimates, it's just what I've read here) IMO, if they are going to make FTTF stick to the arrival appointment, they need to give them the 16 day check in to make it worth it, but that would require making FTTF non-refundable at 21 days out or so.
  15. We're considering our first family trip to Hawaii for summer 2024. Assuming princess offers the 16 day round-trip from LA, would you recommend that or fly to Hawaii? We're coming from the east coast.
  16. Anyone know if/when Hawaii summer 2024 cruises will be announced? We like the 2023 Emerald Princess cruises in summer 2023, and are hoping they’ll be repeated in 2024.
  17. So we signed up for a Captain's circle number to get the first responders offers, but we haven't taken a Princess cruise yet. So, can we book on 12/6, or have to wait until 12/7?
  18. Cue Ricky Martin She'll make you take your clothes off And go jump into the ocean She'll make you live her crazy life, but she'll take away your pain Like a shark bite through your brain
  19. Makes you wonder.. if they are selling out the Greenland cruises so far in advance, and at higher fares, why don't they add 1 or 2 more? At least 1 when kids aren't in school. That alone would add a lot of demand.
  20. Red heads that burn very easily. They can't stay in the sun, even shaded by trees, all day. Clamshells may provide enough shade, but not nearly as comfortable to sit at for a considerable amount of time as a cabana. We don't need all 8 in the cabana. If it was like Half Moon Cay, it wouldn't be an issue, the rest of the group could just rest on the beach. But, I think Mahogany Bay has a private beach area for cabana guests, and we'd like to be in the same area.
  21. Not the issue for carnival. I believe the "visitor center" and museum are the same thing. Try again!
  22. Ok.... so I really thought I'd get the price match. Let's play a game. Can anyone figure out what they said the difference was? (Cave tubing part is a mistake in page address and not part of excursion, and not why rejected). https://www.carnival.com/shore-excursions/belize/altun-ha-mayan-ruins--lunch-509048 https://www.shoreexcursioneer.com/belize/altun-ha-mayan-ruins-city-sightseeing-cave-tubing.html
  23. Thanks for the help. But, on our page, it actually says 4 max.
