This is crazy. I met this couple at alchemy last night. This is my 25th carnival cruise. Their 75th. Found out we’re cruising on together next year. The big cruise only @Jamman54 and @blarko know about. My diamond cruise. My last scheduled carnival cruise. And we’re almost neighbors. They’re 15-20 feet from me. Today they’re next to me at alchemy I find out they’re Mets fans. Their daughter is dating a Mets player. They have all of these pictures from dugouts and stuff. It’s pretty crazy. but a little weird because he’s a pitcher so they’re wishing bad things upon the Mets young up and coming pitching prospects….

    Whoa….that is crazy!!!

Before I continue on with the nuts and bolts of this review, I want to tell everyone how proud I am of my wife Patti. What a trooper! Let me explain. After Patti retired from teaching, to keep busy, Patti went to work for Target. Her job is to shop for other people. Now what woman doesn’t like shopping! She loves the job even though it requires her to walk miles every day around the store. The positive was that it also helped her to lose quite a bit of weight. The negative was that her feet, which were never great to begin with, began to hurt her more, especially her right foot. Over time the pain got worse and worse. Her foot doctor recommended that she quit her job. Nope, that’s not happening!

Four years ago, she had had enough and had surgery on her right foot. Though it wasn’t 100% pain free, it was a lot better. She continued to work at Target, though with reduced hours, and continued to walk for miles on our cruises taking the pictures that both you and I love so much. Now since then the pain has increased in her left foot to the point that it is much worse than the right foot ever was. Having to walk “funny” is also giving her some back pain. During the last few cruises I told her to take it easy, and if we needed a shot to illustrate a point, we could use some of our many “stock” pictures. She was having none of that. So as I looked through the thousands of pictures that Patti took this trip, I wince when thinking about how painful each step was for her when taking them.

The good news is that on May 17th she will be having surgery on her left foot. We hope this will make her foot pain free, but realistically don’t think that will happen, but any improvement will be welcomed. Her foot doctor will again recommend that she quit Target. Nope, that’s not happening. Will she stop walking for miles taking pictures for us? Nope, that’s not happening either! That’s why I am so proud of Patti. Love you Babe! ♥️

She’s the best ❤️ So are you Jeff

Today was at least a bit more exciting than yesterday, although I didn't receive any more five hundred dollar checks in the mail. I did finally make it out for a motorcycle ride while the weather was nice. Got caught up in some bumper to bumper traffic a couple of times due to road construction, which sucks on a motorcycle. Trying to go two or three miles per hour and keep the bike upright is a nightmare. Anyhoo, I headed North up to the Doraville area and got a chicken sandwich and fries at Java Saga. It's mostly a coffee place, but they make THE most awesome hot chicken sandwich in town.

It's called the ABC sandwich (American born Chinese) and you can select from several different heat levels. I went ahead and ordered "the hottest one" until I found out it cost four extra dollars for the highest level. So, I ended up going with the next to hottest one, which ended up being plenty hot, and the "heat" lasted another half hour or more after even eating.

Also took a ride through the neighborhood I lived in for a couple years back in 2017 - 2019. Pretty soon I was on my way back towards town to park the motorcycle and try to figure out what's for dinner. I ended up just deciding on scrambled eggs with shallots and cheese on toast at home, since it was already there. Getting ready now for my final evening prior to returning to the 'ol salt mine tomorrow...

Oh my gosh that sandwich sounds and looks delicious. I love spicy foods, the spicier the better. I wonder what they do to the hottest spice sandwich that would make it cost four dollars extra.

I said I’m going to try to remember to get in their Cuban coffees on sea days.

it’s tour because they open at 10am. But I got a late start today so this is my second coffee.

How’d you like the cortadito? I’ve had them and really liked them but they have a ton of caffeine in them, so beware 😂

So here's a video I did of our whale watching tour. I hope you enjoy it. I really wish that I would remember to hold my phone sideways when I use it for video's. It never matches my GoPro video and you can always tell when I've switched to my phone by the small picture. Oops, one day I will get the hang of it. lol

    I hope you enjoy it.

Awesome video!!! Did it make you nervous that the whales seemed to get so close to the small boats that were in the water?

I’m using a platinum gift. Since this suitcase didn’t have the pouches I decided to use the toiletry bag. I actually have some I don’t use. My stepfather is big on them and I think it gets under his skin that I don’t bring one to New Orleans. So he buys me one every year. Or maybe

he just keeps forgetting he bought me one.

I have a bunch of toiletry bags as well, but I keep buying more. I’m not cool enough to have a Carnival branded one yet 😔

So thought I would share with my TRIBE family.

My sister in law who was kind enough to accompany my mom to California.

Mom and her sister who is younger than my mom.  It was a surprise to my Aunt she did not know my mom was coming.

My aunt was able to leave the assisted living facility and my mom opened the house door to surprise her!  Look at the smiles on those faces.

Those are just the sweetest photos. They both look so happy. I know you said you mom is the elder of the two but she looks like she’s the younger one 😀.

What a special day for them.

If anyone remembers my team from Tribe Cruise 2024 for Family Fued… my teammate that had the scary doll obsession and answered “sweet cheeks” to the question about stripper/car names just asked me to be in her wedding next year.
    I think I’m busy.

    What!

I think I found @sid_9169’s soulmate in my cruise group. She wrote down all of the ships in port with us on loose leaf paper. College ruled. Multicolored click pen.

Well, if her chart is correct it looks like you’ll get to see Icon up close.

Shuttle driver noticed his bus was rolling. He jumped in and hit the gas instead of the brakes. Killed 1, injured 11 others. Bus pushed the group into a concrete barrier.

    Ugggg that’s awful…..
