  1. I remember going on the first cruise right after COVID and that terrifying wait in your car for the text saying if you were clear or not, thankfully we both were, all you could hear from our car was ......wooooooooohhhoooooo lol
  2. We love the aft suites too but after having the corner ones we now will definitely stick to the middle ones in future and tbh we really don't need such a huge corner balcony one anyway and as Sue B says, once you've done Queens grills, there's no going back πŸ˜†
  3. I agree with one of the other posts, wrap around balcony sounds fab but when we were in that cabin, more times than not,we couldn't sit out because of the wind that howls round the corner πŸ₯Ά
  4. We booked Christmas and New Year '26 yesterday πŸ₯³πŸ₯³
  5. How exciting πŸ˜€ photos please
  6. I'm vegetarian and GF and never had any issues, one waiter even offered to get me gf scone for the high tea. We go in Queens grills and they can't do enough for you, although the butler kept giving me fish canopies, politely told him and it was sorted very quickly
  7. Our butler NEVER let us run dry of wine ,in fact they were piling up πŸ₯΄πŸ₯΄
  8. We had a wrap around and not to put you off but it blew a gale when the ship was sailing,it was too windy to sit out most of the time
  9. Ah,what a good point, think I'll ask next time I'm there
  10. Eeeooww, how disgusting,I would expect that from other certain cruise lines but not Cunard , it is difficult to know what to do if you don't like confrontation 🫀
  11. They were quite spectacular this year, the ending was so loud we could feel the ship vibrating 🫨
  12. Just off of QV after enjoying the Christmas & New Year cruise. We always opt for an aft suite and never have we had any problems with vibration or noise, although we do enjoy the noise of the propellers cutting through the water. We have experienced "the smells" which yes,is pretty awful but not much can be done about it but they should be honest with people, and not say......we'll check this out,as I'm pretty sure they've had hundreds of complaints over the years.
  13. Everyone onboard QV said this years fireworks were the best yet and I have to agree. Madeira has one of the finest displays in the world ,never fails to give me goosebumps. home now, feels like I've never been away lol
  14. We did indeed thank you,for once it wasn't blowing a gale and the sun was shining, just heading to Madeira now for the fireworks πŸŽ‡ Happy new year to everyone when it comes x
  15. We're onboard as I write this, just coming into Lanzarote,it's an overnight. It has been wonderful so far,bit sad not to be coming back on next year,we've done the Xmas/new year cruise for years now but it's QA next for the next two years but it will be exciting to see her
  16. Onboard Victoria as a type and it's choppy CHOPPY!! Still just off France,so the Bay of Biscay here we come . I like the previous reviewer, wore my summer dress to the Queens grills restaurant, thinking "it would do" but I felt very under dressed, won't do that again. Merry Christmas cruisers x
  17. Oh yes,the napkins, when we have breakfast in our room the toast is always wrapped in napkins,so it's always soggy 🀒 I'm on a gf diet and my bread is even worse lol
  18. My heart sank when reading this,we're boarding on the 23rd,hope we're not standing on the dock side, suitcases in hand and no ship.Last year we were in dry dock for two days whilst a propeller was replaced. The ship does indeed bang loudly when waves crash into her, pleeeeease someone tell me that is all it is 🀞🀞🀞🀞
  19. Hey, I bet some golden oldies on Cunard could sort out a few of the thugs on P&O πŸ˜‚
  20. I absolutely love Cunard and hope it sticks to the traditional old style cruising, not once have I ever witnessed bad behaviour ☺️ well, apart from when I've had one too many Singapore slings πŸ˜†
  21. Ha, just don't expect it in what used to be 5* fine dining and food whizzing past my head isn't what I want, also on the main news a few years back,it showed thugs scrapping on the top deck of Azura (I think) great how cruising is evolving isn't it? I do like the sound of your food fight though lol but I'm sure you wouldn't do it on a cruise ship
  22. Yes,sadly some brits just don't know how to behave. Ha, have a friend in McLaren Vale and my favourite wine is from there too πŸ˜€
