The app has most standard cocktails, spirits, a small selection of wine, and beers (I don't recall how good of a selection).

The app's food menu is a pretty standard room service menu (sandwiches, salads, a few appetizers, pizza for a fee, etc.).

Regarding Good Spirits hours, when I was on the Emerald in February, they could make Good Spirits drinks whenever that bar was open.  I enjoyed many afternoons sipping one of their cocktails.  On the Caribbean in the drinks on the Good Spirits menu weren't available until 5pm or 6pm depending on the day.  I don't sit in bars nearly as much in the evening on a cruise so this was a huge disappointment.  I think I only had one or two Good Spirits drinks over 14 days on our last cruise.

Thanks, hopefully they are open more hours on seadays crossing the Atlantic.

So food is limited too on the app for delivery… good to know. Definitely not how they are selling the service.

Not all drinks are available for delivery via the medallion app. We have not seen the speciality drinks from Good Spirits offered via the app. I am addicted to several of their drinks and wish they were available.

So which drinks are available? I’m really disheartened because I was told I could order all food and all drinks for delivery anywhere on the ship albeit some foods would be an additional charge. I knew in my gut it was too good to be true but the people at Princess assured me multiple times it was legitimate.

Just an FYI - You cannot have ANY drink delivered to you anywhere on the ship.  For delivery, you are limited to only those in the app which does not include any of the drinks on the Good Spirits menu.  You also don't get to tell them which bar to make the drink at.  When you want to order from the Good Spirits menu, you will have to talk to a server at the Good Spirits bar.

Okay, good to know. This is contrary to what I was told by my Princess Vacation Planner. Disappointing but no surprising as it seemed too good to be true. So this sucks… what drinks can I get delivered then?

Just a reminder about the plus package if you go over the 12$ for a drink you only pay the difference plus tip.

I know, but if I have 10 drinks from good spirits and the price is $16 per drink then that $40 per day for 14 days… just saying

  5. I’m a loyal Carnival cruiser trying out Princess for the first time for a transatlantic going to Spain 🇪🇸 in March 2023 on Enchanted Princess.
when I purchased my voyage it included the drink package, WiFi & gratuity but that was last year. Now with the roll out of the premier package and prices of drinks going up I am trying to figure out if I should spend $350 to upgrade to premier from plus. Since I can have any drink delivered to me anywhere on the ship I want all of my drinks delivered from Good Spirits bar. Does anyone have the prices for Good Spirits bar so I can see if paying $350 upcharge for Premier would be of value?

As someone who enjoys the Havana area I will really miss the food service in Ocean Plaza.  That was such an easy place to grab a bite without having to brave the lido during peak breakfast and lunch hours.

Yes indeed Willy. I’ve always thought of it as adding to the value of being a solo Havana passenger. It’s getting harder to justify now.

My wife and I will be on Panorama the last week of June.

I've read that getting from ship to shore in Mazatlán you must ride their extremely slow moving tram. I know everyone has their version of "slow" but wondering if you have any insight about getting off in the first batch of people or waiting awhile. I know in Cabo for the tender having FTTF gets you off early, but not sure if that applies here.

The tram is not slow at all. It’s fast if anything but definitely not slow. I need to hold on myself.

  8. On Panorama certainly not even close to being an all nighter with reduced sets currently. Band shuts down around 11 - 11:30 PM for the time being. Never heard of reported noises from inside cabins at all. I stay in cabana on deck 5 and I couldn’t hear the noise, too quiet, which is good for when they have awful karaoke before band goes live at 8 - 8:15

When cruise lines estimate how many folks will be using an area at any given time, there is an assumption that not everyone who is eligible will be in there at the same time. Swapping wristbands impacts the anticipated levels and diminishes the experience for those who have paid.

Yes, and Havana Cabins are in extremely high demand on Vista class ships. They are the most coveted and the price of those cabins rarely drop at the same rate as other cabin categories. To diminish the value of those cabins by offering day passes to passengers not staying in those cabins would mean a lot of empty premium priced Havana cabins that would be sold out if exclusivity is not compromised by offering day passes to non-Havana passengers. If you want access to the Havana outdoor area with a minor under the age of 12 you could always book a grand suite and get access that way.

My sons 17 and 14 could not get out of Havana area faster…they wanted to be where the action was. Havana was definitely not their preference.

Same situation with my 28 year old son, who literally told me “Mom, if this is how you’re going to cruise I won’t be sharing a cabin with you ever again.” He said Havana is for “old people”.

@cruisingguy007 - I totally understand your logic with having a child under the age of 12 but the OP mentioned her’s was 12+ so that’s where I’m stumped at needing a second cabin that is not Havana.

  11. @K_e_shortI just read on another thread that Carnival will allow a minor to be booked in a cabin by themselves if the parents are booked in a cabin next door or across the hall. If the cheers package cost is not the issue for you wanting a Separate cabin for your husband & a 3 person Havana Cabin is not available I would look into two adjacent cabins 1 Havana for you and your husband that is adjacent to a standard cabin for your son. It looks like to me you should be able to do that if you book an aft Havana cabin on decks 6 - 9 with your son in a standard interior cabin across the hall.

I suspect it is because there are only 2 or 3 cabins for more than 2 people in the Havana area. I missed if OP posted what ship but I am on the Horizon in 2 weeks and when we booked back in 2018 (for 2020) we had a 3 person Havana cabin for me, my husband and my son (15). Because of Covid we rescheduled to 2021 and lost our Havana room because it was booked by some one else, we ended up in a regular balcony. Had to rebook for 2022, still no cabins for 3. I would check every few weeks and suddenly in Nov, just before fi AL payment came due one of the cabins for 3 came open. I quick called my PVP and changed cabins and made my final payment

I totally understand being that I book a specific Havana cabin myself so I have to book 9+ months in advance with my PVP in order to get it but if you and I can do it I don’t see why the OP can’t do it. It is doable.

  13. Driving home from work and thinking about this thread something is just not adding up. Why hubby in Havana cabin by himself or with a kid? Is it because of the cost of Cheers package and OP doesn’t drink??? It doesn’t make sense to me why OP would book 2 cabins with adults assigned to different cabins unless it was because 1 adult doesn’t drink??? Otherwise why not just get a single Havana cabin for 3 people with 3 wristbands and be done with it??? No rule breaking with 2 wristbands for 3 people or 1 wristband for 2 people, etc. There is something missing from the story here and it’s so suspich and sketch that it’s going to raise eyebrows from crew on board just sayin. Why would anyone book a Havana cabin and a non Havana cabin for 3 people in the same family over 12 years old if not for cheers??? Doesn’t make any sense economically when there are Havana cabins that sleep 3 people.

I think you missed the point entirely. OP, as well as myself, are not trying to "sneak" in. Just getting/using what is paid for. If I pay for a havana room, I'm dam sure going to use it, just like anyone else who pays for it. As far as the ship within a ship, get ready for everything to turn into à la carte. You'll see.

Didn’t miss the point. What I was saying is the sail & sign cards and wristbands should match the names of the occupants assigned to the cabin. Hubby booked in said cabin, hubby gets a Havana sticker and wristband. If you want 2 sail and sign cards and 2 wristbands book the cabin with 2 people. If you want 3 stickers and 3 wristbands book a 3 person Havana cabin. Simple. No switching names, no switching wristbands. The whole thing sounded sketch & suspich from the get go.

  15. As someone who only books a Havana Cabana I can assure you @K_e_short there will be multiple hoops to jump through on this. My advice to to be honest and tread carefully.
There are stickers put on the sail and sign cards for those booked in Havana cabins. If you want to be able to access the Havana Outdoor area I suggest you make sure your name is on that Havana Cabin booking before boarding the ship. This whole discussion about switching names, switching wristbands is only going to piss off a lot of people who not only paid the upcharge to be in the Havana outdoor area but also to the crew that is assigned to work and monitor the area. You don’t want security called on you and you don’t want your name jotted down in Carnival’s little black book. I respectfully disagree with @cruisingguy007in that I adore the ship in ship concept and my hunch is it’s here to stay, like on NCL, MSC & Celebrity. Those of us who gladly pay the upcharge aren’t rule breakers and are honest about it. Please do everyone a favor and speak to your PVP about your expectations before you book. It will save you a lot of hassle & upset once on board. No offense but I just hope I will not be on the same sailing with you under your set of circumstances.

4 th booster needs to be done 6 months from last vaccination date. Although I have also heard 5 months out so maybe the guidelines have been changed from 6 to 5. Also note that a 4th dose is recommended for immunocompromised children between ages 5-11 as well now.

@smellywaxThe CDC did reduce the time between the 3rd and 4th dose from 6 months to 5 months for the immunocompromised:
