  1. I don't think he meant no CAS separate boarding, but took it that no VIP CAS boarding, where they are treated pretty much exactly like suite guests at the pier. Never been a CAS VIP so not sure how nicely they are treated. Anyway, that is just my interpretation of what was said, hoping I'm right, lol.

  2. I have used debit cards. When I checked in they said they were putting a $300 hold on it. I checked my bank 2 days later and it wasn't there. Not sure if it was just me or what happened but there was no hold.

     

    Same with me.

    Frank Del Rio used to claim in the past that he read every single post in the Oceania forum. He occasionally responded to posts and immediately addressed many concerns. I wonder if he is now too busy (cutting corners) to follow the Norwegian forum.

    Great post. I may just send Vivian that email. Vivian really gave me such a hard time! it was so strange.

    If anyone gets Elizabeth as an NCL phone rep supervisor. Ask for someone else!

    Amy Nicole was professional. Asked for my phone number (after seeing my post on FB). Then called right away and she gave me a reason (glitch on the NCL site) and did not blame me. The next day it was fixed. She was a pleasure and knows how to speak to a customer.

    NCL she is a Gem.

While I fully agree with Bill concerning a business never pays for anything (they simply add it to what they are charging the customer), in the context of the question asked, yes, NCL is covering the DSC for the cruiser for those who select the free DSC. My question though would be, WHY would anyone select the free DSC? It is the least valuable option available.

     

    Well for me this time I chose the UDP because I am traveling with a group that has never sailed before and the show the first night will be great for the kids.

     

    If I was traveling with just one other person I would choose the DSC. I don't really drink. If I did drink I get a free drink card from the casino where I spend most of my time. A free dinner from the casino and a free dinner for being Platinum.

     

    If I wanted to eat in another specialty restaurant the casino (CAS) would pick that up as well. Unless of course they have changed something at CAS.

    Sorry to hear that. After going through what I did for the same thing that is before July, I can only imagine what you are going to go through.

    The supervisor Elizabeth from NCL never called me back.

    Vivian never emailed me back after the few I posted here.

    Like others have said maybe social media is the way to go.

    It really is a shame that the higher up the ladder you go on NCL the worse it is!

     

    It took an NCL worker Amy that saw my post on FB to say it was a glitch.

     

    Vivian or the other executives should have emailed back.

     

    Glad I don't have to deal with that anymore. No fun being lied to!

    So glad this has finally worked itself out, especially with all the time and effort you put in on trying to get what was rightfully yours.

     

    I feel bad for those who might have experienced the exact same as you and did not push to pursue it further. They have lost out because of a 'computer glitch' and I would not be surprised if no one at NCL goes out of their way to rectify it for others.

    I am sorry to read that you are affected by the date of the change. I had the UDP under the promo, after hearing rumours of the removal of first night free I was able to have that selection changed to one that was more beneficial for us(OBC). The first night's show was the reason we chose that perk.

    Thanks Rochelle..It would have been nice if Vivian would have sent an email. It was very easy for Amy to look into it and in a day it was fixed. They just won't admit it was a mistake on their part.

  9. I want to thank everyone on CC......You guys had my back and gave me great advice. It is appreciated :)

     

    Someone named Amy contacted me from my post on FB. She works for NCL.

     

    She looked into it and said it was a computer glitch. I then received and Entertainment confirmation with Cirque Dreams booked at 5:45.

     

    I never did hear back from Vivian or Elizabeth.
