Enchantment had the free steam/sauna facilities removed when they "stretched" her way back when, but there are still locker rooms associated with the fitness center that you can use free of charge to shower. I understand that the locker room may have a steam shower, but there is no sauna or steam room.
Yes....the showers have this "feature" that allows you to "steam"....alone in a tiny shower.

Yes Liberty has not been amplified yet, so it still has full steam and sauna in the men’s locker room. Free and not co-ed.
I am going on Liberty next week, can’t wait!
Well Yay! And it looks quite like Adventure of the Seas....which had very nice new shower fittings.

Okay.....is Liberty of the Seas info on the sheet still up to date? Free and not co-ed...
Has anyone been on her this 2022 season? I am looking at May of 2023....no dry dock scheduled....

No Restrictions of any kind that I can recall from my TA cruise in 2016
See this thread from this month...indicates you can only for 2 hour slots now. Howard

Howard,
Everything is Co-ed and I think for a fee except the men's changing room/showers. No single sex anything except the locker room. Very disappointing for an ocean liner that does TA's!!
Darn.... Thanks for the info! In addition....you can only go the spa for 2 hours a day....and you have to reserve it? I don't know when I am going to events and things....how would one reserve prior to getting the daily schedule? Hmmm... Oh well....

So if the spa passes are all booked....Are there showers at the gym or any steam or sauna available elsewhere?

Does anyone have information about the steam and sauna on the QM 2? Nothing is listed on the spread sheet. I know there is Canyon Ranch Spa....but what about free?

Hey everyone, I’m excited to be cruising again soon and hoping to meet some friendly guys in the sauna/steam room. 😉
I booked the following cruises. Anyone else planning to go as well? I purchased the thermal suite pass in advance on the NCL Dawn.NCL Dawn Sept. 25, 2022 - British Isles
Diamond Princess Apr. 20, 2023 - Japan
Also, if anyone wants to chat about their sauna/steam room experiences via email let me know.
Is the thermal suite on the Dawn like the Jewel class shops where it is a central coed area and then separate men's and women's areas on the right and left? I liked that a lot on the Gem.

Enchantment was extended well before anyone was doing thermal suites. All there is, apparently, is a steam shower in the fitness center locker room.
Yes!!!! Now I remember that! Thank you for jogging my memory. I sailed on her after the extension and could not figure out why I didn't remember the steam and sauna. Yes...."Steam Showers".

Both were removed when Enchantment was lengthened years ago. All the other Vision class ships (Vision, Rhapsody, Grandeur) have a free sauna and steam room.
Well....poo! Did Enchantment get a "Thermal Spa"?

Hey guys! What's the scoop on Enchantment of the Seas Royal Caribbean? The excel sheet has "Yes" Free Entry to steam and a "No" Free Entry for the sauna....yet there are notes about the sauna....Hmmm?

Thank you for the update. That is good news. Were there any protocol changes like distancing, capacity restriction, shorts required in the men's area?
Nope...no signs or guidance at all....it was fairly quiet....but not empty for sure.

Did they give any reason for not allowing use of the lockers?
They said they have not been giving out keys since they started the re-sailing after covid...That was it...

Just updated the google sheet for ADVENTURE OF THE SEAS.
Steam and Sauna are STILL FREE. Got off the ship today and enjoyed a full cruise of steaming and sautéing! They were not giving out locker keys however...one left your bathing suit and shoes, etc...by the benches.

It's on their website.
Since filling out the ArriveCan form shouldn't take very long my guess is you'll probably hear something from Royal Caribbean a week or two before your cruise.
It is there under "For Cruises Leaving Vancouver" , but I didn't read that because I am not.

Well as per all cruise lines "fine print" its up to the traveler to ensure they have the proper documentation in order for entering other countries.
Tis true....but you'd think they'd mention it as it is covid related....and as we have heard there have been delays in embarkation due to this required "app" that people don't have when they arrive at the port.
But I know Now!!!

Here's a a link from the Q&A section of royal's web site.
https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/what-documents-do-i-need-to-board#transatlantic
Thanks for the link....but that says for cruises "Departing from Vancouver"....I am departing from New York with one stop in Halifax and back to New York. So that section is not applicable to my cruise.
If it said "Cruises leaving the USA and stopping in Canada" then I would have read it!
FOR ROUND-TRIP CRUISES DEPARTING FROM U.S. HOMEPORTS This sections says nothing about going to Canada....

I'm sailing on Royal on May 31st...when were they going to tell us abou this??? If I was not on cruisecritic I would have NEVER heard about this!

Hey there!
I think the last edit lost the "frozen" top row that lists "size, free entry, co-ed, etc...." I don't know how to fix that myself...maybe someone else does?
I am sailing on RCL Adventure of the Seas end of May and will see if the sauna is indeed still free or if it was redone, which I was told it was not converted yet.

So on Adventure of the Seas....it is now a paid spa...are the steam rooms and sauna co-ed now?
Howard

I am confused by the spread sheet about Adventure of the Seas. It says
"Free" - no"
Co-Ed" - No.
"Free and NOT Co-ed" - No.
So is is it co-ed or not?
