Okay...so this is for a single passenger with the solo supplement.
Starting with the same experience people are saying above: Priced a cruise on Monday the 6th, but held off thinking about the Black Friday Deals. Tuesday the same cabin jumped in price. Just like what people are saying above...
BUT...Then on Friday the 10th..."with the 75% second passenger sale" it was back to the original price I saw...BUT [in addition] on a particular booking site...it was $100 less and it came with $100 OBC. So I booked!
This morning...the official start of the Black Friday Sale....the price did indeed drop $139....so I re-priced and got to keep the $100 OBC.
It's a crap shoot for sure!!!! But sometimes it works!!!

You will need to call for reprice Black Friday sale starts tomorrow
Nov/11 to Nov/14 75% off 2nd passenger + $300 savings (Quad Occupancy)
Nov/16 to Nov/22 75% off 2nd passenger + $600 savings (Quad Occupancy)
Nov/23 & Nov/24 75% off 2nd passenger + $650 savings (Quad Occupancy)
Hi Gerelmx! THANK YOU! It worked...I got an additional $139 off as a solo traveler.
Interesting...I went first to the Celebrity site and though it was less than yesterday it was still more than what I had priced on another site. So I booked on my "go to" "cruise dot something" site. Their price was actually $100 less than the Celebrity's site AND I got $100 OBC.
Usually every site averages out to be the same....but this saved me $200.... Yay!

Well.... I will look again tomorrow....I will keep you posted. I really hope you prove me wrong!
BUT...what I saw is.....copied and pasted....
From November 10 – December 5, travellers who book a cruise on Celebrity can get 75% off a second guest as well as up to $300 in onboard credit for nearly all itineraries through April 30, 2026.
And what do they mean by $300 savings (Quad Occupancy)???
I am a solo paying a solo supplement...so far...saves me nothin'!

Yes it does, it’s the same as the other Celebrity S class ships. Small interior sauna in the men’s changing room near the spa. Lockers and three showers also. Enjoy! Thanks so much!
"Ships and Dip"...that is funny!

there are 3 showers that have front doors that don't close 100% but are in a seperate section. Also little attendance.[Bummer!]
Seperate showers
Those are weird shower doors!

hi all!
Thinking about sailing the Celebrity Eclipse when it sails out of Cape Liberty Bayonne summer of 2024. I checked the list and it says there is a small free sauna. Yay! Has anyone been on the Eclipse this year to confirm/update that? [There is no verification date on the sheet] Thanks!

When I was working I did an eastbound crossing, spent a week in England and then flew home. Some airlines have reasonable one-way fares.
Aha! Go back to "Post #1"... I don't fly.

Or you could do what I am doing next spring. I will go eastbound on another cruise line (shudder), spend 6 days in London, then go home on the QM2.
I always think of that but ... can I go away for that long???? Not really....hmmmm

OP asked about quickstep - yes indeed, much of the ballroom dancing features quicksteps. Along with cha cha, rumba, swing, and samba. No American style foxtrot.
Well...I hope the Brittish Ladies can backlead! I'm a very good follow though!

As others said, don’t venture out too much from the port. There’s some good restaurants around too.Owww....Omnious! What happens if you venture to far outside the port? Does it get dodgy?

Too stressful, and not enough time to make it worthwhile to go to London. But there is a maritime museum, an air museum, a Tudor merchant’s house, an art gallery, bits of possibly Roman wall, and excellent chocolate brownies in John Lewis West Quay.
Oh...nice! Thanks!!!

What would be some fun things to do in South Hampton on the turnaround day? Or if one or two ports and then back to South Hampton for the return TA? How far are you from London?
-
Great responses! Thank you!
Is fencing free or a paid class? I would guess there are "real" dance classes on board. as opposed to "Learn to Salsa"? Do people do the Quick-Step?

I can't imagine doing a B2B TA--I don't want to be in Southampton only to have to leave again with no time to spend in England. If the schedule has a Europe cruise between crossings, I do the EB, have some time in England, then the WB home.
I would love to spend some time in England....BUT...waiting for the return would be 2 weeks...not just one...and being away for a month is too long...I'm still working!

Hi all!
I am wondering if there are big differences between a transatlantic crossing versus a NY to the Caribbean or Canada? Such as: The passengers, the entertainment, the enrichment program, etc... Do they still offer fencing lessons? Is tea still served everyday when there are port days? Stuff like that.
I am single, 59 and I do not fly so a NY - NY would be my only option sailing....so would that be east coast or "over and back"!

The only problem is that that "Red Hook" is in St. Thomas!
Parking is $10.00 for the day. The ferry terminal parking garage is the closest parking to our dock. If you park in the underground parking lot at the Marina, ...- 2

Was on RCL Allure which has the thermal suite you have to pay for. Bought a pass for the last sea day, knowing it wasn’t conducive to conversations in the spa. But ran into a guy in the men’s change room who was quite chatty and we got to know each other a bit.
Is the Thermal suite worth it however? Are they nice facilities?

No smoked salmon at the buffet this morning. Just pickled herring: everyone's favorite!
So many different responses.... Thanks Jamie for checking for me!
From a previous response...of course I know that I can buy smoked salmon...but it is expensive. It is a treat I enjoy on cruises and the occasional Bar Mitzva.
to Homosassa Grilled Yes! Smnoked Yes! Pickled...NO!!!!!

List of ships with FREE steam and/or Sauna
in Fitness, Spa & Sports Cruises

So tell me guys...if you end up on a ship with only co-ed sauna or steam....what do you end up doing? [Aside from not booking that ship...which is what I am going to get a dozen replies saying! LOL] If you are going specifically for the theraputic benefits than paying for the thermal spa might be worthwhile...
