  1. It would take a lot more than that for me to say it sunk to a new low.
  2. $2900.00 for two in a YC cabin is awesome. Once you're there on that cruise, it will be very hard to go back to a normal cabin. The YC food is head and shoulders over the MDR, and you will be treated like royalty, from embarkation to debarkation.
  3. These people on the world cruise posting on Tik Tok are influencers paid to do what they're doing by sponsors. If they didn't have anything negative, they'd be cut off, whether the posts are truthful or not doesn't matter.
  4. I'm a big Celebrity fan. We enjoyed the Equinox, and loved the beyond. We're also booked on the Ascent, and looking forward to it.
  5. We've also been on both. For the shows alone, I would pick the Harmony.
  6. The show was full for Grease. Very few got in without reservations.
  7. Not counting the passenger makeup, which I don't mind, MSC's ships are much more crowded than Celebrities. They also have much more children, and is louder.
  8. I would think Galveston would be an entirely different passenger makeup. I just booked the Seascape from Galveston. I can drive there from Oklahoma.
  9. I usually have no problem booking on line. I absolutely hate calling them. The other day, I booked a cruise , but the invoice never showed up, only the price and the booking number. I had to call for that. I got through with no wait time around 8:30 A.M., and it took about 5 minutes and I had all the information in my hands. Stephanie was awesome.
  10. Usually TA's pay the final payment about one week before it's due.
  11. I wouldn't worry about the luggage tags. They can do it at the dock.
  12. Loved your review. Thank you. We're booked on the Ascent for next year and can't wait.
  13. We did book the Yacht Club. Only way to go with MSC in my opinion.
  14. We're both Elite, but we just booked the MSC Seascape Yacht Club for Nov, 2026 out of Galveston.
  15. We started a roll call for the Ascent Jan/2025 and no responses yet. If roll calls are a thing of the past, so be it. I won't lose any sleep over it.
  16. Without the gratuities included, to me it's worthless.
  17. We've stayed at the Hilton right by the airport. There are several restaurants within walking distance, and usr Seattle Express to geo to the pier.
  18. As the cruise lines are moving more and more to the ship within a ship concept for suites, it's becoming increasing that parts of the ship, either the front or the aft on NCL's newest ships are reserved for suite guests. it's the new normal.
  19. I smoke cigars and never had a problem in any smoking area on the Equinox or the Beyond.
  20. While the parents of a toddler may enjoy having the toddler with them in the main pool, if there's an accident, which will likely happen, then the rest of the passengers have to suffer for quite a ling time while they drain, sanitize, and refill the pool. Not fair to the passengers without children, or who's children are in the children's area.
  21. Unfortunately, while the cruise lines, in most cases want the solo cruisers, they also want them to pay exhorbetant prices for everything. The claim is that solos don't spend as much as couples on board, and this makes up for it. Rubbish, it's just a money grab because they can.
  22. Whatever the issue, unless it's costing you money, and I don't mean price drops, do not call to make any changes. You'll regret it immediately as your booking will be totally messed up and it takes an act of God to correct it.
  23. We just booked our 3rd MSC cruise in the YC. We've been on the Divina, our first, and the Seashore previously. We are Elite on Celebrity, and Diamond on Royal, but can't afford their price points anymore. Besides, the YC has them both beat.
