  1. I was able to walk into the aquatic show in Mar 2022 without a reservation. I wanted to see it a second time and the rest of my party were busy watching March madness at Playmakers and I wasn't interested. Just your choice of seats are a little more limited.
  2. Sorry if I am a little slow on the uptake here but what is the DBP? Thanks!!
  3. Yes, I saw that at least one line was going to start charging for extra entrees. Especially on Lobster night. I think I saw that there was a charge for the 3rd lobster if you wanted one.
  4. I took out trip insurance prior to a cruise in Mar, 2022 with Travel Guard to include all medical, trip interruption etc. The first night of our cruise my wife fell and broke her glasses and her right pinkie finger which was going to require surgery. RCI medical staff did a good job of putting a splint on the hand and gave her some drugs for the pain. When the Dr. reviewed the hand the following morning he decided that it could wait for surgery until we returned home instead of having surgery in Cozumel the next day. When we got home I informed Travel Guard about the incident and was told to wait until all of the therapy sessions were completed prior to filing my claim. My wife had her surgery and several therapy sessions. When they were all done I submitted receipts for her glasses and various co-pays to Travel Guard. They came back and said that because the actual expenses didn't occur during the coverage period then they were denying the claim. It in kind of hard to replace prescription glasses in Mexico along with having the surgery and various therapy sessions done in a weeks time.
  5. I took out insurance through Travel Guard for the dates that we were going to be gone on a cruise. The; first night of our cruise my wife fell and broke her glasses along with her right pinky finger. The cruise line took X-rays, splinted the hand and determined that the surgery to repair the hand could wait until we got back to the US. After we got back and replaced her glasses and paid all of our co-pays for her surgery and therapy sessions I submitted all of my receipts and was told that since the expenses didn't occur during the covered period, ie our cruise, they wouldn't cover our costs. What a CROCK! I resubmitted out claim explaining that the injury occurred during the covered period and it would have been impossible to replace prescription glasses while on the cruise in addition to undergo surgery and the 2 month of PT. Never again will I use Travel Guard.
  6. Not sure about the Independence but we were on the Oasis in late Mar and they wanted you to set up reservation times but my son didn't have any issues dropping his kids off at other times when needed/desired.
  7. Being on some Navy ships and participating in the loading of food/mail/supplies etc I am amazed at the sheer organized chaos of getting 3000+ passengers their luggage and any trash off of the ship. Then refueling the ship, loading food, luggage and passengers and departing port all in a 12 hour timeframe. To me it is mind boggling. LOL! I agree with a previous poster in wishing that I wish turnaround was 2 days to allow for more thorough cleaning in addition to more time for maintenance but I do realize that if the ship is not moving it is not making money.
  8. Y, The 2 yo will be in the nursery and the 4 yo will be in one of the various Adventure Ocean programs. My 2 grandsons ages 4 & 9 loved Adventure Ocean and were in different groups because of the age differences.
  9. Your 2 older kids would probably like the Tail of Dragon coaster. My wife and I are kids at heart at really enjoyed it.
  10. Before Covid one of our cruises was a scavenger hunt where you had a set amount of time to find the most countries that crew members were from. You certainly could do a scavenger hunt in a Assisted Living facility. Or do a "Poker Run" where people travel to different areas of facility and pick up a plying card at each location. The person with the best poker hand wins some sort of prize.
