I’ve had many butlers on cruises who have attended butler academies. I also had a Russian butler who was a butler for the kgb. He was really interesting.
I could not disagree more
we will not cruise without a butler
a good butler is proactive and takes good care of you. I could regale you with stories about exceptional things butlers have done for us on cruises — things a stateroom attendant would never do or could never do
if you use your butler as you would a stateroom attendant then you will only have a stateroom attendant in a tux
Forget dress code
how about manners and common sense?
a guy who just came from gym is covered in sweat
his shirt and shorts are soaked through
he comes into arts cafe and plops himself down into an upholstered chair — a chair I will avoid for the balance of this cruise
I am on the second leg of a silversea cruise.
the first leg had toddlers with Nannie’s. The toddlers ran around the restaurants, screamed etc. as the parents sat as far away as they could. I did say something but they will never offend a guest.
second leg. They are gone. What a pleasure
there are no bad children
only bad parents
A word about wifi
i believe we have starlink on this ship
flawless Wi-Fi despite being in some not so populated areas of Iceland. When you move to different parts of ship you get a prompt to reconnect to ss Wi-Fi by pressing a link. Takes a second. Guessing there are routers everywhere
I have premium Wi-Fi and streaming also flawless
In Santorini just wander and have a great seafood lunch
in Crete I would hire a guide. You want to go to Knossos and perhaps the archeological museum
do you mean Simi?
