I loved the kids and people in Boca de Valeria.. We were there about 8 to 10 years ago and it was Christmas so before the cruise we went to the dollar store and spent about $100 for gifts and the kids loved it and the women loved the makeup we got..lipstick Mascara etc. On top of all that the crew from Regatta the ship we were on gave a big Christmas party in the schoolhouse ( I do believe they were living in the village at that time but maybe not) and the kids were over the moon as were there parents.. So much fun and joy!! By the way at that time there were no souvenirs for us to buy but we did take pictures for free.. Jancruz1

8001 is not a great cabin because the bridge is right there and the door slams all the time..I always stay on deck 8 but that is one of the only cabins I dont like.. Jancruz1

Wow that is some scary few minutes....I found when we went with Oceania the Police were very attentive and made sure we were safe..but I am with you..everyone should do what they are most comfortable with..I was just letting the OP know our experience Have a great day.. Jancruz1

If I remember we were escorted by police..and we were on an Oceania tour.. I personally would not go private in Egypt..probably one of the few places but to each his own.. Jancruz1

It is smaller than Oceania but since the president was VP of Oceania and he is a foodie, I am sure the food will be wonderful.. Ship sailed before with a different person running the company and truthfully I had never heard of it But I know James and he will do a wonderful job and he is easy to talk to.. The ships are more like yachts smaller cabins but everything is included, truthfully I cant wait to try it.. Jancruz1
