  1. It's been well documented on CC that the NCL website is iffy, at best. I suppose it's possible that your Veteran status has not been applied to your account. Unlikely...but possible. As others have said, simply log in and your account should immediately show your status. If it's there, you need a new PCC.
  2. After six pages and 127 comments, I would say this dead horse has been tortured enough.
  3. Damn...now I'll have that Osmonds song in my head all day.
  4. You might want to familiarize yourself with the issues at the Santorini port. It was a factor in us deciding to cancel that cruise. (Not THE factor, but it was up there).
  5. So...you got burnt food and you accepted it? Would you accept burnt food in a restaurant at home? As others have pointed out, I don't believe you understand the concept of a "live" trip report. Surely you have more to report on than just your burnt (or bland) food.
  6. If you're looking for thoughts on the Epic, this board has TONS of them. Some people hate it...some love it...some in-between. Probably better off doing a search. However, we had booked this same cruise with friends who have never cruised before. We ended up canceling and booking another cruise...not solely because of the Epic...but it was a factor. Didn't want their first impression of cruising to be the funky Epic bathroom set-up. We ended up booking the Escape, which happens to be one of our two favorite NCL ships. Plus, this Escape cruise has an overnight in Tuscany, which is the place they most wanted to see.
  7. More info is needed. Traveling west to east or east to west? Sailing to/from New York or a southern port? If New York is involved, you can anticipate cold weather and potentially rougher sees, due to the northern route. If Miami, Fort Lauderdale, or even South America, it's a whole different story. Seas may or may not be calmer, depending on Mother Nature's mood. You will need to pack cold weather and warm weather clothes.
  8. NCL has to apologize for rough weather? Seems to me, the apology should be coming from Mother Nature.
  9. Wow...talk about snarky. Several people liked my comment. Just for the record. Speaking of records...Skol Viqueens.
  10. If they have formal night, I book elsewhere. If they make me sit at the same table every night at the same time, I book elsewhere. If they don't honor my Platinum status, I book elsewhere. If they don't have refundable deposits up until final payment, I book elsewhere. If their deposit is more than $250 (especially if non-refundable), I book elsewhere. If they don't offer a 10% Veterans discount, I book elsewhere.
  11. We're bringing friends who have never cruised before on our Escape cruise next year. We specifically told them about this show, so they better have it. Where else can we get free beer? Oh, wait...
  12. Kind of like singers/bands on their "farewell tour". George Strait has been on his farewell tour for at least 10 years...we saw his "last" show in 2013.
  13. Can of worms in left hand. Opener in right hand. Better have your suit of armor ready. Unfortunate first post...but welcome to CC.
  14. Not sure. I might have. But then again, maybe not. I'm old and can't remember what I had for lunch...or if I even had lunch. But why would the policy say it's not allowed if, in fact, it's allowed?
  15. I know people swear they were allowed to apply CN certificates for existing reservations. However, the "official" wording from the NCL website says: All CNDs are valid for new reservations that book and sail within 4 years from purchase date. CNDs become null and void after expiration. Failure to redeem and sail within 4 years will result in forfeiture of your CND(s). Not applicable towards existing reservations. So...how are people able to pull this off?
  16. Based on experience, I know what I'll get...a whole lot of "NO". With a side of "There's nothing we can do about that". Followed by. "Next!"
  17. But this is CC...speculation is one of the things we do best. (Or worst...)
  18. In Cozumel we did a bar-hop tour. There are a couple available, in case that's your thing.
  19. The last time we had a FCC, our PCC applied it to our next reservation. I assume you need to have someone apply it...a TA, reservation rep, PCC, etc. I wouldn't know how to do it yourself online, but YMMV.
  20. Wait a minute...you're telling me there's no such thing as a free lunch? I'm shocked...shocked, I say.
