  1. When on Brtiannia there were seven of us in three cabins all linked, next door to each other and we too also had different boarding times.
  2. Morning everyone, hope you are all well. A nice mainly sunny day here, with temps into double figures. Will need to make the most of it as rain is forecast again for tomorrow. Had visits from three of my daughter's yesterday bringing presents of chocolates, flowers and wine. Check in details became available yesterday for our Arvia cruise at Easter. We have a 3.30pm check in, so quite a bit of hanging around in the afternoon!
  3. Graham, I too would just like to add my condolences to you all on the sad news of Sarah's Dad.
  4. Morning all, Bright and sunny but the sky is looking very dark out the back. I went to bed early last night as I was cold and shivery, but got up a couple of hours later for a few hours before heading back. I still don't feel right, so am thinking of taking myself back again. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
  5. Morning all, A rather blustery day with strong winds although it is dry and sunny, but does feel cold as it's so windy. Hope all goes well @kalos at the hospital. Nothing much planned for today, but a nice day for a walk.
  6. Morning everyone, We have another sunny day here😲 and quite mild too. Had a lovely evening last night catching up with my friend. Although it was such a long time since we met up it didn't feel like it. Nice to hear that Michelle and Zennizor are planning to meet up on the TA, but disappointed that I won't be joining you, as we cancelled. We are however getting on the day you get off, so please leave her nice and tidy!☺️
  7. Looking ahead to next week's weather it should be better, at least it's forecast to be dry!
  8. I had been looking at a cruise for March 2026 and booked it while we were on board Azura in January and there were very few cabins available of the grade we were looking at. The price onboard was the same as before we left home, but by booking on board we have got an additional £300 OBC making our total OBC £780, and a lower deposit. On checking the price yesterday it has gone up by £50 pp, but the OBC has dropped to £150. On my return home, our TA had added a discount too, so am more than happy.
  9. Morning everyone, After a lovely sunny day yesterday we are back to mizzle. Going out for a meal tonight and meeting up with an old school friend who has come down to the area for a visit. Can't believe it is seven years since we last saw each other. So looking forward to having a good catch up. Other than that nothing planned. Hope you all have a good day. Pam
  10. Morning to you all, I hope everyone is well or if not well on the road to recovery. It's a nice bright sunny day down here and feels pleasantly warm. Our garden squelches when you walk on it and my mother's garden flooded with all the rain we've had. I can't believe that it is over 4 weeks since I got back from my cruise and haven't been on here in all that time.😲 We had a lovely cruise and after the stress of getting there. The return journey was the complete opposite, problem free. We landed on time, got to the station early and the assistance team arranged for us to get an earlier train and travel first class. A lot has been going on since we got back, One of my sons has moved back in, so we have had to rearrange things to make room for him and his stuff. With the stress of it all I've been having more pains in my head and headaches. On the happier note. My daughter has got engated. We've had a meal out for my other son's birthday, with not just one birthday case, but two! OH invited him round for Sunday dinner while we were out, the others commented that that was favouritism, so they all came too! And of course another birthday cake. Off now to catch up with some of the other threads.
  11. No, a standard balcony cabin on one of the higher decks and only Mediterrean in tier.
  12. When we were in Marseille last year the drop off point was near the Cathedral.
  13. My mother uses a folding wheelchair and we have had no issues booking a standard cabin. We had a standard cabins on Iona and Britannia and have a de-luxe cabin booked on Arvia. We had booked assistance for my mother on Britannia last year, but on arrival at the port they had no knowledge of it, although on board they did have notification of her allergy. Both of which were sent to P&O at the same time and acknowledged. On our most recent cruise (January) I declared a walking stick for my husband, but it was queried at the airport? I now take a hard copy of the completed questionaire to prove my point.
  14. Last May, I arrived on time for our check in for Arvia at 12.05 for a boarding time of 12.15 and was still waiting in the queue at 12.30!
  15. We flew out to Malta from Bristol in 2022 (TUI) we had to collect our luggage from the carousel and it was then transported by lorry to the ship and we re-united with it outside our cabin. On the return journey the cases were put out the night before and we collected them at Bristol. Earlier this year we flew (Jet2 charter) to Tenerife again from Bristol and had to collect our luggage on arrival. It was then transported on the coach we travelled to in to the port. It was unloaded by crew who delivered it to our cabin. For the return it was the same procedure as above. Cases out the night before and collected at the airport on landing.
  16. More problems this morning🙄 Had booked assistance to take us to the terminal, but they didn't come. Reception chased them up, they denied any request despite hotel having received a conformation email. Eventually got to the terminal to assistance desk, they couldn't process the request until we had checked luggage in and had boarding passes. At check in desk there was a query regarding OH walking stick, although I had filled in the appropriate paperwork required by P&O! Am now sitting in departure lounge waiting to go to the gate. I will finally relax when I'm in the air. Will give you a full report when I get back.
  17. Morning all, -2 here, with a feel of -7. Up early for breakfast before heading over to the airport building to check in. I haven't got WiFi on board so will only be able to catch up with you if I pick it up while ashore. Have a good and stay safe and warm. Pam
  18. That sounds good. It has just taken me 7 hours to travel fron home to Bristol!
  19. We have finally arrived at Bristol Airport after a long journey. It has only taken us 7 hours! The snow that caused railway points to freeze at St Erth was only very localised, and was clear a few miles up the road, but snowy again around Truro. It seemed all the trains were running late too. Hope you've all had a better day than mine has been.
  20. Well, I've left home but have only got as far as the station and all trains are cancelled as the points have frozen! So an now sitting in the drafty waiting room.
  21. Thank you for the information as we are due to call at Funchal on Monday and again the following week on Azura.
  22. My son has just called in on his way to work and annouced it's snowing. Just hope it doesn't affect the trains.
  23. Good morning, Coldest day on record here, according to my phone's app, at -2c. We went out for a meal last night to save cooking and OH car was saying it was 21c😕I think not!! I'm all packed and ready to head of to Bristol to join Azura tomorrow. I am looking forward to some warmer weather. Hope everyone has a good day, stay safe and warm. Pam
  24. We were on Brtiannia in September and it was one MDR, The Oriental, with fixed dining at 6.30 pm and 8.30 pm with a 15 minute window for late arrivals before doors closed. Freedom dining was in the Peninsula and Meridian MDRs.
