  2. Says it right there——Never give out deposits etc without reading the fine print. If it is not a scam- it should be considered one! I do not think this promotion is from a PVP. Yes, this PVP, latched onto me when I did have a TA. As I have said the Princess Vacation Planner has never done any bookings at my request. She saw that I made a new booking, next day she booked same cruise again and left me a phone message to give her the booking and cancel the online one. I should report this . I try not to pick up Princess calls anymore and let the calls get recorded.

  4. Listen, I have heard about this a few times over the past few years. Do not give your credit card, bank info, etc! This is not directly from Princess Cruises. Maybe associated as they knew your cruise history. I am one who has a PVP who I have never done business with, put a cruise on hold that I did Not speak to her about. She has access to my Princess account. As far as the Promotion did they say anything about Cancellation Ins? That would be a big concern, booking through a third party you did not instigate business with.
  5. Be aware- when I cancelled a cruise , agent said I would get FCC for my deposit and water purchase. I said “Wait a minute here, I paid by credit card- return it to my credit card.” check your online accounts. glad OP got theirs settled.
  6. Also, I would consider that not as much as been offered post pandemic in regards to excursions for all. The suppliers are coming back, but we found this on our May ‘22 & October ‘22.

  8. Yep- no point getting worked up about it. If there is a table available they will seat you.
  9. I find a taxi tour ( you arrange as you arrive at port) is usually cheaper than the excursion for two people. Many of the ports I’ve been to world- wide have this available. I do agree that the print is too small, too light- blue is hard to see- as we age.
  10. I choose same dining room & time each day. Anything different I write down on my itinerary. Easy. I have had the same table each night on last 2 cruises. Did not even request it.
  11. Also wasted a lot of time on Princess website- and it is working fine for me. Problem is every cabin I would like in balcony- all categories are taken. Guess that $1.00 deposit was a real incentive to tie up inventory.
  12. I’ve flown in/ out of CDG several times. No problem for us. Another option is the Eurostar from London to Paris/ return.
  13. You need to contact Princess and fill in a request. Several planned this on one of my BR Isles cruise, but due to sea conditions we could not go to Le Havre, and had a sea day in its place. So have a backup plan.
  14. Not only Princess- I am having a heck of a time with Celebrity website right now. Princess is not offering what I want.
  15. Call regular Princess number and tell them to cancel before final payment!!
  16. To OP— had this happen recently, as well! it was put on hold by a PVP- I never used. She put the same cruise on hold that I had just put my FCD on. Sent me email and left phone messages to book with her instead of online! I don’t book with her. Her hold disappeared from my account in 3 days.
  17. Not me. I just started getting mini bar & laundry- only two perks I care for.
  18. Walk/ roll off and get a taxi tour at dock. We do this all the time.
  19. I have done this in the past. I looked for a future cruise for 2024 and no longer see it offered. They only had it to airport from ship. ask your travel agent.
  20. They did let me book my included specialty dinner on Discovery when I was in a suite. No extra charge to my credit card for that.
  21. I’m waiting for lower deposit or last minute booking- no hurry, flexible.

  23. I'm looking at a cruise on Royal's website and only see a non refundable deposit option. $900/couple. Are they not offering refundable up until final payment?
  24. I know crew. It is not coming out of their pay. The cruiseline is providing it. speak to GS.
