Hello All, Doing my first fly cruise in a few weeks. The two questions I wanted to ask is: 1) I normally take some wine and whisky onboard with me. When I come off the plane if I cannot find the duty free in the airport, when I get to the Tenerife Port is there any shops within walking distance that I can pick up some things such as wine and whisky etc that anyone is aware of? 2) When the coach drops us off from the airport to the ship. I am guessing I don’t have to go on the ship right away, there is no problem for example going to look for a shop for 30 mins and then getting on board? I think we will be landing about 11:30am.

If it something that benefits you I think the drinks prices are very good on P&O compared to USA ships.

It was the same as this in Sept when I went. it was still a fair walk in to the town and places to see, so a taxi maybe worth considering if you have any walking issues 😃

Funny enough I am on Arvia atm in Spain. There is a 10% Spanish tax on any drinks ordered on board while in port. That being said I am mainland Spain, Barca and Valencia etc.

Looking at the Tripadvisor forum for Southampton there is at least two topics of people complaining about car parking services on there. that is of course not to say there are no other companies outside of CPS that aren’t any good, but no company really can 100% guarantee your car safety and being humans who drive the cars mistakes may happen. But it’s normally safe to use them.

Hi All, Back in 2019 I had a rum flight drink (3 rums) on the Ventura ships planet bar. I have never seen it since advertised. But I notice the planet bar is only on the Ventura and Auzra Ships. So I wondered if anyone knew if they will still be offered on the these two ships still?

I will also be on that cruise. Had the same email Monday. mines a large red wine please 😂

Agreed. And also the fact it is a British ship means the comedy acts and things like this will be comedy I understand rather than shows based around different areas I wouldn’t understand.

Do not listen to what the sales people have to say on board. Me and Mrs SF in 2021 after COVID was thankfully leaving us asked about an up coming cruise….the fantastic deal he could give us was using the OBC we could of got oursleves by booking on shore. that being said the lady we upgraded our room with on our next cruise while we were on one in April helped us and got a good deal. So personally I think it’s half the person you deal with and half the fact you need to research your own stuff as well

Personally depending on your party, I would drop your cases off, try your luck, if you get turned away, walk out of the port and go to the centre and choose a nice place in the sun with a newspaper and drink. Then go back for the time or at least just before.

If your on a big ship (especially the two newest ones) it seems that they are super strict on the arrival times. this was the first year we were turned away. We were at the Mayflower entrance I think it was and so we dumped our cases on with the staff at the cases entrance and walked out of the port and across the road for a couple of beers and then back and managed to get on about 30 mins before we were due on. I don’t fancy q’ing I have heard of people being there a long time in the waiting part.

If it helps anyone it took me about two to three weeks to get my new passport.

Hi all, I have a cruise booked in for Sept and the above two are onboard. never had anyone that like on board before. What do they normally do? Is it normally talks and tasters and classes that you pay for or other things?

I went two weeks ago from Southampton with P&O and the most health checks were signs saying if you have covid symptoms speak to a memeber of staff. No tests etc required.
