  1. @Daddioppp thank you so much - do you have the contact information for them please and did they pick you up at the pier? EDIT ... OK, I now see it is a tour through Windstar (I didn't see it earlier) so thank you
  2. @jen.claire.389 Thank you so much for this information - what did you end up doing on Huahine ? It doesn't look like there is much to do? Also, might you tell me what the weather was like (I know it is in the 80's but light sweater needed onboard at night?) So many questions and getting excited now and I hope your vacation was amazing ❤️
  3. As we live in Florida it is so easy for us to carry on liters of water (I like to have them in my room) when departing from FLL as we drive and park. We carried on 4 liters on embarkation day and then bought 8 more at the first port of call as well as a 6 pack of Diet Coke (San Juan the Walgreens is opposite the port) ... no problem at all from Celebrity (this was last week)
  4. @hikerbiker - see you onboard soon as we are also on the Sept 7th Wind Spirit
  5. Being Elite on Celebrity (for many years) I never knew about this (shows how much I pay attention LOL) so can anyone tell me what drinks are included in this "happy 2 hours" - sailing on Equinox on Saturday so wondering if it is just wine/beer or can I order a martini and hubby get his Manhattan - and do you just go to any bar and show them your card? Thanks everyone
  6. @woodburc yes (or at least I hope so) - he emailed and said he needed 6 more people to confirm so he put us on the list and will confirm with me once he reaches his minimum but I haven't heard back from him yet. Good luck - hope he responds and you get to go so the trip then is confirmed
  7. @woodburc September 7th .. see you onboard 😀
  8. What date will you be sailing? We are also sailing in September in Tahiti 🙂
  9. @phoenix_dream The king size beds in Europe (it reads "international king size bed") are not the same as the king size beds in the USA
  10. @Tahitianbigkahuna - thank you so much
  11. @NBliving the CA ferry is currently not running (off season) and resumes in November so it depends when you will be sailing (and this is the least reliable ferry) but you have the Crown Bay ferry which is a good option also.
  12. Yes, as mentioned you use but you can always use a nice pair of sunglasses, jewelry, cover-up etc .. really anything from the ships stores/spa etc.
  13. I'm not sure the OP was in St Johns (Antigua) or St John USVI (she said St John's but many people confuse the two) but you can easily visit St John on your own and have much more time on island but it depends on the timing in port as to whether it is worth it for you.
  14. Definitely not all do - especially when they have done zero research into the customs of the island they are visiting ... oh and leave their trash everywhere !!!
  15. Good evening, We have purchased a specialty dining package on our upcoming Equinox cruise - might anyone know where, on the day we embark, do we go to book please. Thank you so much
  16. Thanks @jen.claire.389 might you have the contact info for Europcar please (what I have doesn't seem to work as it keeps taking me to Europe for some reason) Good luck
  17. We are doing this is September and will take the car ferry so fingers crossed. Do check your rental contract as we first booked on Moorea with Avis and the rentals are plus mileage so I found a local rental car company in Papeete that came highly recommended that is cheaper and includes unlimited mileage which in a week I know will add up (I think it is something like 0.50c per mile with Avis)
  18. @jen.claire.389 I will be following and if you have the name of a scooter rental company do you mind sharing please as we want to do the same thing.
  19. Being from the US and running a day catamaran sailing company in the Virgin Islands (taking guests snorkeling etc) it is customary to tip the crew 20% of the cost of the sail so I would just like to confirm this is the "norm" in Tahiti as we have several booked on our upcoming cruise (private whale swim, full day snorkeling etc) Thank you

  21. Thank you - he responded and we are on a waitlist as we need 4 more to sign up before it is a confirmed tour but I am hopeful
  22. I have something planned on each island on our upcoming cruise except on Ranigiroa, Fakarava and Huahine (we are on a waitlist with Ato on Fakarava as he is looking for 4 other people to join before it is a confirmed tour) so might anyone have any suggestions please. I am thinking of renting a car in Huahine and we arrive on Windstar at Débarcadère de MAROE (landing stage Maroe at Maroe Village) so might anyone know of a car rental agency close to where we arrive please. Thank you for any suggestions everyone - getting excited.
