  1. TV channels. Non-cable news. And along with the weather channel mention, how about adding weather radar to the ship locator maps? I don't need to see how far away from Africa or Chicago we are.
  2. I love the dress code threads, where the passive aggressives come out. "How someone dresses doesn't bother me personally but I feel for those people whose fine dining experience is ruined." They've removed posts several times, last I saw was around 2:40 yesterday, I got the "no access" screen and later it was back with fewer posts. They should eoither lock it down or let it go.
  3. Ask the vendor. The arrival time of the ship is estimated though usually close to accurate. The lines for going ashore can be busy depending on ship excursions.
  4. I would just do it by phone (have the reservation number and the daughter's C&A number). Especially if the two accounts won't have the same last name, if that's the case. And remind him that he has to give her two of his drinks each day since she earned the level.
  5. I agree, I'd be more concerned with my arrangements to get home, especially if my airfare goes up, extra parking, miss a day of work, extra family and pet care, etc.
  6. I think that's pretty much the norm, rather than the tales reminiscent of the old "The Millionaire" tv series.
  7. I try to bring along extra bottles of nyquil to give crew members in these situations.
  8. I prefer to give them a similar amount. but I convert it to their local currency and add personal hygiene products, used clothing, and homebaked goods. I enjoy seeing the twinkle in their eye when presented with my old socks.
  9. You'll be lucky to find that game at all. They show a national feed from an international ESPN channel (2 of them) but Patriots and Detroit is not going to make the cut. Not a Boston broadcast. Night game might be on the big screen, but bring blankets.
  10. Some of the free streaming services (like Pluto tv) show episodes of the original 24/7. And others have the second version. Search on your home screen if you have Roku or Amazon Fire. Not as good as Monty Hall on Fantasy Island, but hey, what is.
  11. Last week first come first serve, with some sections reserved for suites, but Anna Banana opened them up about 5 mins before show time.
  12. Last week they gave them out from a station on deck 4. RCI booked excursions get priority. The office for the trolley was right where you get dropped off.
  13. No. And you can't sign up multiple times in the same day as well.
  14. Last week one show performed four times over two days late in the week.
  15. We bid for a balcony from our inside cabin, bid the minimum +$5, Got notice it was accepted 2 days before the cruise this past week. A couple cancelled last minute.
  16. We were on last week's Voyager cruise (got off yesterday). The tender process to get back on the ship in Bar Harbor was disgraceful. We went to get in line at about 3:10 (about an hour before all aboard) and the line was literally hundreds of people, stretching more than a block long on the public sidewalk. One woman trying to negotiate to the end of the line stumbled on the curb (space was tight) and fell, had to be wheelchaired back on board. Our wait in line was 40 minutes. Just a terrible process.
  17. We had a 9:00 time yesterday, we could have left at 8:30. We did the onboard face-to-face check at Portland, told we would have to go through declarations in Boston which didn't happen at all. With no duty free shopping, not much point.
  18. I had an inside cabin on Voyager, bid the minimum +$5 for an oceanview balcony ($550 total for two), bid was accepted today. At the time we booked, the balcony would have cost about $2,000 more (the inside room was a steal, and no single supplement so we booked two rooms since it would be the same price). Now we have the balcony (good location, midship) plus the extra inside cabin for who knows what... for about half the cost of what the balcony would have cost us at booking.
  19. We are seeing this wine tasting activity on Anthem Compasses. Does anyone know what's the theme and the cost? Also odd that it shows a cost for the first day it's offered (day 2) but not the second (day 3).
